She was a member of the Slovene National Benefit Society, secretary of Mountaineer Lodge 784 and past president of the West Virginia Fraternal Congress. Surviving: sons, Joseph Wayne Richards of Richmond, Texas, Kevin Scott Richards of Clinton, Pa.; daughters, Sandra Richards Burghardt of Neptune Beach, Fla., Lea Ann Richards Mallory and Kelli Christine Blair of Lawrenceville, Ga.; stepdaughters, Jerilynn McKinney of Dayton, Ohio, Barbara Corbett of Princeton, Beth Glenn of Canton, Ohio; nine grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren. Joint service with her father, Anton Rugel, who died Saturday, July 29, 2000, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with the Rev. Hilarian V. Cann officiating. Jacqueline A. Hertel, 66, of Dunbar, formerly of Treasure Island, Fla., died Friday, July 28, 2000, St. Francis Hospital after a long illness. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Eagles, Charleston. Surviving: daughters, Constance Hertel of Charleston, Lana Kelly and Angela Hertel of Mobile, Ala.; son, Bert of Charleston; sister, Margaret Miller of Charleston; brother, James A. Michael Reid Miller, 37, of Charleston died Saturday, July 29, 2000, from injuries received after being struck by a car as he was walking across Interstate 77 in Charleston, said a spokesman for the Charleston Police Department. He was a painting contractor. He was a native of Beckley, a 20-year resident of Charleston and a graduate of George Washington High School. Surviving: daughter, Sidney Renee Miller of Charleston; parents, Bob and Brenda Miller of Charleston. There will be no service or visitation.
