EVANS -- Erma Davis Livingston, 80, of Evans, Jackson County, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, at home after a long illness.
She was a caregiver, a homemaker and a Baptist.
Surviving: grandchildren, Darrell Brown of Evans, Michael Emerson of Pineville, N.C., Kenny Emerson of Gun Barrel, Texas, Michelle Randolph of Millwood; two great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Creston Cemetery, Evans, with the Rev. Kenny Emerson officiating.

Carl E. Meadows
Carl E. Meadows, 76, of St. Albans died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001, at home.
He was a retired warehouse clerk from Union Carbide and a Navy veteran. He was a native of Hinton.
Surviving: brother, Jack T. "Morty" Meadows of Hinton; sister, Elizabeth Kirts of Clifton Forge, Va.; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be at a later date. The body was cremated.

Argil L. Moran
WEEKI WACHEE, Fla. -- Argil L. "Whitey" Moran, 81, of Weeki Wachee, formerly of St. Albans, W.Va., died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, in Heartland Nursing Home, Brooksville.
He was a former sheet metal worker for Union Carbide, a Navy veteran of World War II, a St. Albans auxiliary policeman, a member of the International Association of Sheet Metal and Aerospace Workers and a Baptist.
Surviving: wife, Ann Marie Moran; son, Daniel of Florida; daughters, Judith Hilton, Deborah Ketchum and Kathy Hillyer of Florida; stepdaughter, Diann M. Green of Florida; stepson, Morris Cracraft of Alabama; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

MOUNT HOPE -- Pearl M. Dailey Moss, 78, of Mount Hope, Fayette County, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, in a Beckley hospital after a long illness.
She was a homemaker, a native of Milton and attended First Church of God, Mount Hope.
Surviving: daughter, Debbie King of North Carolina; sons, Tony of Beckley, Danny, Terry and Robert Jr., of Mount Hope; sister, Louise Henderson of Milton; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope, with the Rev. Ronnie Stapleton officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.

BEAVERTOWN, Pa. -- Ralph W. O'Dell, 70, of Beavertown, formerly of Mount Nebo, W.Va., died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, in Bethesda (Md.) Naval Medical Center.
He was a retired Navy cryptologist. He was a member of Hickory Grove United Methodist Church, Mount Nebo.
Surviving: wife Evelyn O'Dell; daughters, Pamela Bunn of Burtonsville, Md., Teresa Giddings of Laurel, Md., Cheryl Hahn of Strassburg, Va., Mitzy Miles of Miffinburg; son, Patrick of White Plains, Md.; five sisters; two brothers; 20 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

ALDERSON -- Jewell Elizabeth Thomas Pierce, 83, of Alderson, formerly of Newport News, Va., died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, in Greenbrier Manor, Fairlea, after a short illness.
She was a retired waitress and manager from the NCO Club at Langley Air Force Base, a former licensed practical nurse in Williamsburg, Va., a member of Griffith Creek Baptist Church, Alderson, and a former member of Alderson Senior Citizens Center.
Surviving: sisters, Georgia Harrah of Alderson, Joan Buckholz of Vermilion, Ohio, Violet Snyder of Lorain, Ohio; many nieces and nephews.
Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lobban Funeral Home, Alderson, with the Rev. Emory "Tommy" Mounts officiating. Burial will be in the Old Greenbrier Memorial Cemetery, Alderson.

William W. "Buck" Rogers Sr., 88, of Charleston died Monday, Jan. 22, 2001, at home after a short illness.
He was a retired supervisor from Union Carbide, South Charleston, with 37 years of service and a member of Christ Church United Methodist, the Pioneer Club and Boy Scouts of America Buckskin Council. He attended Washington Jefferson College and West Virginia University.
Surviving: daughter, Robinn Lee Rogers of Buford, Ga.; son, William W. Jr. of Leesburg, Va.; sister, Anita Eileen Velsor of Rahway, N.J.; two grandchildren.

HUNTINGTON -- Donna Belle Rowe, 78, of Huntington, formerly of Chapmanville, Logan County, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, in Mariner Health Care Center.
She was a retired schoolteacher with over 25 years of service and a graduate of Marshall College. She was a member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church, Huntington, a former volunteer at the Huntington Boys' Club and a member of the Huntington Multi-Purpose Senior Center.
Surviving: daughter, Trena Lynn Wray of Huntington; grandchildren, Kelly Forbush, Brian Wray and Jason Wray of Proctorville, Ohio; five great- grandchildren.

DANIELS -- Ray Milton Rowell, 70, of Daniels, formerly of Tennessee, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2001, in a Beckley area hospital after a long illness.
He was a member of Blanche (Tenn.) United Methodist Church, a retired San Diego police officer and a former federal government employee in Niland, Calif. He was a Navy veteran.

James Warren Sampson, 80, of Charleston, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, in St. Francis Hospital after a long illness.
He was retired from the Air Force and was also a retired truck driver for Teamsters Local 175. He was a member of the Teays Valley VFW, the American Legion, St. Albans, the DAV, and the Blind Association of Palo Alto, Calif.

She was a member of Gateway Church of Christ, St. Albans, W.Va., and a graduate of St. Albans High School.
