She was retired from C & P Telephone Company with 40 years of service . She was a member of Satellite Beach United Methodist Church, Florida.

William C. "Cotton" Morrison Sr.
William C. "Cotton" Morrison Sr., 75, of Charleston died Feb. 2, 2002, in Heartland of Charleston after a long illness.
He had been a resident of Charleston since 1948 and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was employed a a chef by the Daniel Boone Hotel for 16 years and later went to work for FMC and Union Carbide. In 1972, Appalachian Power Company employed him as a lineman and after 23 years of faithful employment, he retired in 1995. He was a foster parent for Kanawha County Human Service for 28 years and opened his home to over 50 children.
Bill was preceded in death by his daughters, Nora Kay Robinson and Rachael Lynn Morrison; his parents, William and Effie Morrison; two sisters, Louise and Eleanor Morrison; two brothers, Nathaniel and John Paul Morrison.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Louise "Peaches" of Charleston; three daughters, Jacqueline Jones of Dunbar, Vanessa Morrison of Detroit, Mich., Tiffany Morrison of Charleston; three sons, William C. Morrison Jr. of Orlando, Fla., Timothy Morrison of Beaumont, Texas, Anthony Morrison of Smithers; brother, Paul Morrison of Charleston; three foster daughters, Vanessa, LaToya and Mariah Fountain of Charleston; foster son, Andre Shelton of Charleston; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends.
Service will be noon Saturday, Feb. 9, at Rehoboth Cathedral of Christ, 911 Main St., Charleston, with his son, the Rev. William C. Morrison Jr., officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.

Mary Jane Adkins Rutledge, 70, a 41 year resident of Dunbar, formerly of Yawkey, passed away Feb. 5, 2002, at her home, after a seven year battle with Lymphoma.
She was a christian and former employee of the Diamond Department Store. She was predeceased by her parents, Romie and Martha Adkins; brothers, Frank D. Adkins and Fred Adkins.

ORMA - Nelma G. Stump, 73, of Orma died Feb. 3, 2002, at Roane General Hospital.
She was born June 2, 1928, the daughter of the late Cecil R. and Nell Arnold Jarvis. She was a member and former superintendent of the Minnora Prudence Chapel Church. Se retired from Kellwood Company in 1990. She was instrumental in establishing the clothing mission in Orma and had been active in volunteer work in the community.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Butch McKinley; and two sisters, Bernice Cornn and Kathy Jarvis.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Vance Stump; a daughter and son-in-law, Patti and Ed Hicks of Chloe and Donald Jarvis of Phoenix, AZ; seven sisters, Betty Smith and Jean Holmes, both of Mesa, AZ, Hope Schoolcraft of Orma, Helen Burns of Elizabeth, Alice Conley of Lynco, Donnie King of Ripley, and Connie Rucker of Diamond; four grandchildren, Wendy Manns, Chuck Hicks, Shelley Goad, and Julie Vineyard; and eleven great grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, with Rev. Timothy Hickman officiating. Interment will be in the Minnora Cemetery.

John Burton Taylor, 67, of Clendenin died Feb. 5, 2002, at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

LEWISBURG - John Francis Lockett Bell, 75, of Lewisburg, W.Va., passed away Friday, April 27, 2001, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, of a sudden illness.
Mr. Bell was born June 11, 1925, at Lewisburg, W.Va., and was the son of the late Richard P. and Mary Frances Lockett Bell.
He was a retired forester for WESTVACO and was a member of the Society of American Forestry. He was also a member of Old Stone Presbyterian Church in Lewisburg, West Virginia University Alumni, The Greenbrier Military School Alumni, and was a World War II Air Force veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Dilley Sharp Bell.
He is survived by: daughter, Marie Bell Tyree of Fincastle, Va.; son, John F. L. Bell II of Stuarts Draft, Va.; four grandchildren.

Kenneth S. Cremeans, 71, of St. Albans, went home with Jesus on April 25, 2001, at his residence after a long illness.
He was retired from Smith Transfer, Belle, W.Va., after 29 years of service, where he worked as director of safety and personnel. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean conflict, a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, and a 42-year resident of St. Albans. He was an ordained pastoral minister and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by: his wife, Lois; three daughters, Debbie of St. Albans, and Carol and Vicki, both of Cross Lanes; one son, Brian of Cross Lanes; grandchildren, T.D., Jessica and Lauryn; one great-granddaughter, Hailey; brother, Joseph Jr. of Tybee Island, Ga.; sister, Judith Ann of Milton, W.Va.

She was born Nov. 22, 1923, at Hernshaw, W.Va., a daughter of the late Darius Frankie and Lilly Mae Morris Hughey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Ray Kirk, and a son, Paul Franklin Kirk.
