Juanita Reed, 68, of Charleston died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1998, in St. Francis Hospital after a short illness.
She retired from Kanawha Valley Hospital.
Surviving: son, Gary M. Reed of Clifton Forge, Va.; daughters, Linda Sue Moffatt of Sissonville, Neica Ann Goodwin of Tornado, Bernice Shafer of Clendenin; sister, Daisy Totz of Tampa, Fla.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin Welch officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico.

Mary Florence Reedy, 87, of Charleston died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998, in Cedar Ridge Nursing Center after a long illness.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving: daughters, Betty Garnes of Charleston, Carolyn Newby of Bend, Ore.; son, Arthur B. of Victoria, British Columbia; sister, Ruby Davis of Charleston; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.

LUTZ, Fla. -- Jamie Robison, 16, of Lutz, formerly of Charleston, W.Va., died Monday, Jan. 12, 1998, after being struck by a train on his way home from school, said the Pinellas County medical examiner's office in Largo, Fla.
He was a student at Moemicken High School, Lutz.
Surviving: stepfather and mother, Brian and Sherry Miller Hurst of Lutz; father, Robert Robison of Williamsport, Pa.; maternal grandparents, Austel and Fay Miller of Charleston.
Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, W.Va., with the Rev. S.R. Parsons Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Siders Cemetery, Kentuck, W.Va.

WILLIAMSTOWN -- Enoch Rector Rust, 85, of Williamstown died Monday, Jan. 12, 1998, in Marietta Center, Marietta, Ohio.
He retired from Libby-Owens-Ford Glass Plant, Charleston, was a member of United Glass and Ceramic Union, joined the union staff in 1946, was second vice president and director of organizing for the union. He was a member of Ralph R. Rocky Masonic Lodge.
Surviving: wife, Mabel Beverly Rust; daughter, Judy McCale of Williamstown; son, David W. Rust of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; brother, Samuel Rust of Nitro; sisters, Viola Lewis of Port Orchard, Wash., Lena Shamblin of Alabama, D. June Limanni of Westerly, R.I., Mae Champlin of Cornish Flat, N.H., Kathleen Clark of Connecticut; two grandsons.

ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Willa Collins VanKirk, of the Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Community, Asheville, formerly of Charleston, W.Va., died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1998, in the Mountain Area Hospice Hospital, Solace, N.C.
She was a native of Grafton, W.Va., a graduate of West Virginia University, a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority, retired from DuPont, and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
Surviving: daughter, Mary A. VanLeer of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla; sister, Dorothy Steele of Jacksonville, Fla.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

ROBINSON -- Clarence Eugene "Chicago" Welch, 52, of Robinson, Boone County, was found dead at his home Sunday, Jan. 11, 1998, said a spokesman for the Boone County Sheriff's Department.
Christopher D. Spears, 19, of Madison has been charged with his death, the spokesman said.
He was an oil compounder for E.F. Haughton Oil Co., Chicago, Ill., and was of the Church of God faith.
