She was a 1997 graduate of George Washington High School, a member of the Air National Guard Reserves, Charleston, a former employee of Sam's Wholesale Club, Charleston, and attended Briar Creek Baptist Church.

H. Eugene MacShane, 91, of South Charleston died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998, in St. Francis Hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Salt Lake City, a retired agent from Aetna Fire and Casualty and McDonough-Caperton, a volunteer for Kanawha Hospice Care and a member of Knights of Columbus and Elks Lodge 202.

He was a retired employee of ARMCO Steel, Montcoal, with 25 years of service, a member and former choir director of Arnett Chapel, a member of the UMW and attended Crab Orchard Church of the Brethren.
