She received an art degree from Fairmont State College, was former owner/operator of a Beckley catering service, former operator of the Treasure Trove, Beckley, operator of the Beckley Antique Mall, was a member of Beckley Presbyterian Church and Highland Garden Club and a member and former president of the Beckley Art Group.

He was a retired truck driver, a Baptist and an Army veteran of World War II.

CHARLTON HEIGHTS -- Ronald A. "Skinny" Steele, 88, of Charlton Heights died Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, at home after a long illness.
He was a retired Fayette County schoolteacher and administrator, authored and coordinated all federal aid to education programs in the school system, helped start adult education classes, the Licensed Practical Nurses Program and helped establish school health clinics at Glen Ferris, Hilltop and Winona. He received his bachelor's degree in education from New River College and his master's degree in educational administration from Marshall College, was circulation manager for The Collegian at New River College, a former member of the Montgomery Lions Club, and was a member of the West Virginia Association of Retired School Educators, NEA, American Association of School Educators, Fayette County Retired School Personnel, Masonic Lodge 64, Gauley Bridge, and Riverview United Methodist Church, Glen Ferris.
Surviving: wife, Juanita Atkins Steele; son, Rocky of Jacksonville, Fla; grandchildren, Sean and Allison Steele of St. Simons Island, Ga.
Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Montgomery Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, London, with the Rev. Frank Plass officiating. Burial will be in Montgomery Memorial Park with Masonic graveside rites. The funeral procession will leave Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, at 10:30 a.m. for the cemetery.
