Whitzel H. "Whit" Myers Jr., 72, of Quick died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 1998, at home after a short illness.
He retired from the West Virginia House of Delegates, was a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of Mount Tabor United Methodist Church, Pinch, a church lay leader, established the church's Weekly Seniors Program, was a member of the Elks and Lions Clubs, a former commissioner of Pinch Water Public Service Division, a member and former Grand Master of the Odd Fellows, founder and former president of Elk Valley Democratic Club and was former treasurer of the Kanawha County Democratic Executive Club.

LAWRENCE, Mass. -- Dale Perrine, 81, of Lawrence, formerly of Sutton, W.Va., died Sunday, Feb. 1, 1998, in Lawrence General Hospital.
He was a graduate of Sutton High School, retired from the Navy with 24 years of service, was an instructor of seamanship and navigation at the Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md., and an employee of Merrimac Paper Co., Lawrence.

William Townsend Ziebold, 73, of Charleston died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 1998, in Heartland of Charleston after a long illness.
He was a native of Charleston, a graduate of Woodberry Forest School, Lehigh University and was a Naval aviator during World War II. He was the retired president of Spartan Gas Co., an oil and gas exploration firm founded by his late father, William Owens Ziebold, was past president of Appalachian Geological Society and past president of the Rotary Club of Charleston where he was designated a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International.
