POINT PLEASANT -- Charles L. Taylor, 62, of Point Pleasant died Thursday, April 9, 1998, in St. Mary's Hospital Huntington.
He attended Belmead United Methodist Church, Point Pleasant, was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School, was an Air Force crew chief and a retired slitter operator from Ravenswood Aluminum Corp. with 33 years of service. He was a member of United Steel Workers, Masonic Lodge 19, Point Pleasant, Scottish Rite bodies, Charleston, and American Legion Post 23, Point Pleasant.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Douglas Ray Cook of Birmingham died April 10, 1998, in Birmingham from cancer.
He was born in West Virginia and graduated from West Virginia University. He was a charter member, deacon and elder of Briarwood Presbyterian Church, Birmingham. He was a Navy veteran, a member of the American Institute of Mining Engineers and chief engineer of Alabama By-Products Co., later named vice president of mining engineering.

He was president of the Alumni Association, a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, the National Science Foundation, was an Army veteran of World War II and a native of Keystone.
