HOPEWELL, Va. -- Eugene Lloyd Angle, 71, of Hopewell died Friday, May 2, 1997, in Columbia John Randolph Medical Center. He was a native of Charleston, W.Va., and a 36-year resident of Hopewell. He retired from the electrical engineering department of Firestone, was a veteran of World War II and a member of Charleston Lodge AF&AM. He was preceded in death by parents, William and Elizabeth Robinson Angle. Surviving: daughters, Lora Blickley of Chantilly, Va., Mava Cleveland of Colonial Heights, Va., Dora Holliday of Charleston; sons, Jerry Angle of Ashburn, Va., Glenn A. She retired from the Kentucky Department of Human Resources, was a member of Ashland Avenue Baptist Church, Lexington, and a graduate of Oil Springs High School and Spencerian Commercial College, Louisville, Ky. Surviving: stepsons, Larry Scott Blevins of Frankfort, Ky.; stepdaughter, Mary Kay Elam of West Liberty; sister, Margie Blanton of Belle, W.Va.; six stepgrandchildren; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Fidler-Frame Funeral Home, Belle, with Elder Robert Custer, Bill Blanton, and Margie Weaver officiating.
