Eilene Margaret Rush, 59, of Wana, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2001, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 22, 1942, in Osage, daughter of Mary Florence Davies Pritchard, of Brookhaven, and the late David I. Pritchard.
She was a member of the Wana United Methodist Church and had worked as a cashier at G.C. Murphy Co. She was a member of the Morgantown Women of the Moose Chapter 700, was a Past Senior Regent and, at the time of her death, a Junior Graduate Regent. She was an avid bowler in the Sunday mixed league at Sycamore Lanes and was a member of the Women of the Moose bowling team.
She is also survived by her husband of 38 years, Ronnie L. Rush; a son and spouse, Bobby Lee and Raina Rush; a daughter and spouse, Sherry Lynn and David Nestor, all of Wana; a brother, David "Sonny" Pritchard, of Maryville, Tenn.; two sisters, Charlotte Wise, of Wana, and Nellie Varner, of Fairview; and three grandchildren, Tera Jean Rush, Haley Nicole Rush and Casey Lee Rush.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, John L. Pritchard.

Ruby C. 'Nanny' Stockett
Ruby C. "Nanny" Stockett, 74, of Stockett Road, Morgantown, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2001, at home.
She was born May 22, 1927, in Smokeless, near Tunnelton, daughter of the late Burley and Anna McCrobie Trickett.
She was a homemaker and active member of Tyrone United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Morgantown High School, the Wheeling Beauty School, and had been employed with Ray's Beauty Shop. She was also the owner of Oasis Beauty Shop. She loved to quilt, cook, and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was an adult caregiver in Monongalia County for 28 years.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, John L. Stockett Sr., of Stockett Road; two sons and spouses, John L. Jr. and Kathy Stockett, of Easton, and Randy A. and Rebecca Stockett, of Stockett Road; four daughters and spouses, Judy and Harvey Kisner Jr., of Stockett Road, Karen Lowe and C. Douglas Stewart, of Stockett Road, Penny and Randy Gyorko, of Stockett Road, and Cindy and Terry Gyorko, of Stockett Road; daughter-in-law, Dana "Joyce" Stockett, of Stockett Road; two brothers, Jim Trickett, and Ed Trickett, both of Halleck Road; two sisters, Ruth Shaver, of Grafton Road, and Lucille Newman, of Akron, Ohio; 27 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Dana G. Stockett Sr.; a daughter-in-law, Patty Lewis Stockett; a son-in-law, Robert R. Lowe; three sisters, Mildred Isenhart, Josephine Trickett and Sally Trickett; and a brother, Robert Trickett.

Mildred Agnes Yost
Mildred Agnes Yost, 79, of Fairmont, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, at Arbors at Fairmont Nursing Center in Fairmont after a long illness.
She was born May 4, 1922, in Mannington, daughter of the late Clarence and Celile A. Woods Yost.
She worked at Owens Illinois in Fairmont for more than 35 years in the corrugating department. She was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School. She was a former member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She was an athlete, playing softball, basketball and golf on the Owens Illinois-sponsored employee teams.
She is survived by a brother and spouse, Clarence and Darlene Yost Jr., of Garner, N.C.; and two sisters and spouse, Ruth Nash, of Fairmont, and Etta Lee and Gary Wilson, of Manassas, Va.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles E. Yost; a sister, Norma Jean Esultante; and a brother-in-law, Larry Nash.

Paul I. Terwilliger
Paul I. Terwilliger, 85, of Fairmont, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, at Wishing Well Manor.
He was born Dec. 29, 1915, in Elmira, N.Y., son of the late Charles and Charlotte Thudgey Terwilliger.
He was a carpenter and had worked for National Homes in Elmira for more than 30 years. While living in Fairmont, he worked as a security guard at Fairmont State College until the age of 81. He was a member of the Galilean Baptist Church in Whitehall. He was a member of the Carpenters Union. He enjoyed sports.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Johanna Terwilliger; a son and spouse, Michael and Patricia Terwilliger, of New York; a daughter and spouse, Janet and Edward Griffin, of Fairmont; a brother, C. Howard Terwilliger, of Tampa, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Paul Jones and Amanda Jones, both of Fairmont.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Grace and Pearl Terwilliger.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at Galilean Baptist Church, Lanham Drive, Whitehall, with the Rev. Douglas Packard officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Robert J. Blosser
Robert J. "Bob" Blosser, 70, of Everlasting Lane, Morgantown, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 27, 1931, in Preston County, son of the late Amandus Blosser and Luona Nicholson Blosser.
He was a construction worker and worked in mobile home repair. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Masontown VFW Post 1589.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Elizabeth "Libby" Gyorko Blosser; two sons and a spouse, Mark and Nellie Blosser, of Bruceton Mills, and Jeff Blosser, of Morgantown; two daughters and a spouse, Sharon and John Rogucki, of Northfield, Ohio, and Donna Boyce, of Morgantown; six grandchildren, Kari Boyce, Robbie Boyce, Mark Blosser Jr., Rachel Blosser, James Rogucki and Anthony Rogucki; four brothers, Donnie Blosser, Ronnie Blosser and Arlin Blosser, all of Bretz, and Albert Blosser, of Ohio; and three sisters, Viola Cartwright, of Reedsville, Ruth Burns, of Garrettsville, Ohio, and Evelyn White, of Morgantown.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jody Blosser; and four brothers, Jimmy Blosser, Jerry Blosser, Edward Blosser and Richard Blosser.

Karen Sue Kesler
Karen Sue Hayhurst Kesler, 56, of Salem, formerly of Fairmont, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, at United Hospital Center, Clarksburg.
She was born Jan. 27, 1945, in Fairmont, daughter of Walter Hayhurst, of Fairmont, and the late Dorothy Thelma Fisher Hayhurst.
She was a certified nursing assistant, and had worked at The Heritage Convalescent Home in Bridgeport for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Salem Church of Christ. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 0068 of Bridgeport, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 11, of Bridgeport. She enjoyed her grandchildren and growing flowers.
She is also survived by a daughter and spouse, Dorothy and Chuck Mayle, of Salem; three brothers and spouses, Sonny and Ann Hayhurst, of Farmington, Joe and Debbie Hayhurst, of Little Mill Fall, and Gary Hayhurst, of Idamay; two grandchildren, Christopher Mayle and Kaitlynn Mayle; 14 nieces and nephews; and 17 great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clement "Buck" Kesler, in September 1990; a half brother, Lewis Ray Thorton; and two nephews, Butch Thorton, and Michael Thorton.

Margaret L. Wiles, 74, of Terra Alta, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2001, at Hopemont Hospital.
She was born Sept. 7, 1926, in Amblersburg, daughter of the late George W. and Mary E. Parrack Wiles.
She was Protestant.
She is survived by a brother and spouse, Charles and Anna Wiles, of Westernport, Md., and a niece and spouse, Linda and the Rev. Donald Webb, of Lonaconing, Md.

Wilbert Grafton Ward
Wilbert Grafton "Bert" Ward, 79, of Woodland Ave., Morgantown, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, at home.
He was born Oct. 2, 1921, in Reynoldsville, Preston County, son of the late Edgar Grafton and Anna Roe Ward.
He was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the famous 82nd Airborne U.S. Army Parachute Troops. He was the recipient of four bronze stars. He was a retired U.S. Postal employee. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 548 and was a member of the American Postal Workers Union. He was an avid bowler.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel E. Ward; a son and spouse, Jeffrey and Terri Ward, of Morgantown; two granddaughters, Barbara Kent, of Morgantown, and Jennifer Ward, of Indians Rock Beach, Fla.; five brothers and spouses, Buck and Mildred Ward, of Independence, Carl and Jan Ward, of New Mexico, Jimmy and Helen Ward, of Baden, Pa., Ray and Mary Ward, of North Carolina, and Bob Ward, of Texas; and four sisters, Evelyn Phillips and Jean Drake, both of Ambridge, Pa., Naomi Price, of Baden, and Doris Kolar, of Sewickley, Pa.

Loretta E. Fullmer, 78, of Stewartstown Road, Morgantown, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, at Monongalia General Hospital.
She was born April 24, 1923, in Morgantown.
She is survived by her husband, Junior "Sparky" Fullmer; a son, a daughter and two grandchildren.
Cremation services were conducted by Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home. There will be no visitation or funeral rites.
Thomas 'Tom' Gifford
Thomas "Tom" Gifford, 75, of Florida, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, in Florida.
He was born in Hamilton and moved to the The Villages from Connellsville, Pa., in 1989. He retired as a trainmaster after 40 years of service with CSX railroad. He was a member and past member of East Gate Lodge 216, Salem Council Royal Select Masters, Chapter Royal Arch Masons, and Scottish Rite Bodies, and a member of Alighan Shrine Temple, all in Cumberland, Md. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He attended the Church on the Square.
He is survived by his wife Barbara; a sister, Denese Cameron, of Wiley Ford; and a stepmother, Mary Kaylor, of Ridgely.

Cynthia Kay Fluharty Sanders, 35, of Pentress, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, at home.
She was born Dec. 16, 1965, at Fairmont, daughter of Roger Stanley and Mary Diana Walls Fluharty, of Plum Run, Mannington.
She was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and a member of the West Warren Baptist Church. She was a 1984 graduate of North Marion High School. She pursued a career in the medical field for more than 15 years, having last worked at Cheat Lake Physicians offices.
She is also survived by her husband of 10 years, Dirkston S. Sanders; a sister and spouse, Amy Jo and Lloyd Atkinson, of Charleston; and her paternal grandfather, Joseph R. Fluharty, of Plum Run.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Raymond and Emma Walls and her paternal grandmother, Helen Haught Fluharty.

Lovie Dale Baker Aldridge, 89, of Route 2, Belgium Community, Grafton, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, at Wallace Murphy NCF1.
She was born Sept. 3, 1911, in Thornton, daughter of George Frederick Simmons and Rosa Anna Severe Simmons.
She was a farmer and gardener. She loved pets and was a great cook. She was Freewill Baptist and attended Long Run Church in Simpson for many years.
She is survived by a son and spouse, Harry Elbert and Nancy Baker, of Route 2, Grafton; a daughter and spouse, Barbara Ellen and M. Paul McDaniel, of Route 2, Grafton; six grandchildren and spouses, Donna and Larry Towner, James and Alice Baker, Elaine and Chip Gilbert, Shawn and Wendy McDaniel, Christopher and Jessica McDaniel, and Jeremy and Becky McDaniel; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Gladys Rutherford, of Thornton.

She was born Nov. 16, 1941, in Albright, daughter of Russell and Virginia Strahin McNear, of Morgantown.
She was Methodist.
She is also survived by a son and spouse, Russell Lee and Nicole Gordon, of Atlanta; and a daughter, Michelle J. Gordon, of Lutz, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Gordon, in 1970.

Thomas M. Schwind
Service for Thomas Michael Schwind, 20, of Huntington Woods, Mich., a West Virginia University student who died Saturday, Aug. 18, in an off-campus house fire, will be Tuesday, Aug. 21, at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, 11455 Livernois, Detroit, Mich.
He was born Jan. 7, 1981, in Detroit, son of Gary M. and Linda L. Schwind, of Huntington Woods.
He was a a 1999 graduate of Berkley High School. He was an avid swimmer since his childhood and spent four years of high school on the varsity swim team, and was captain of his junior and senior year. His swimming career continued at WVU, where he also majored in physical education. He was a third-year physical education major. His dream was to pursue teaching physical education and to coach swimming.
He is also survived by a sister, Elizabeth G. Schwind, of Huntington Woods; his grandparents, Clifford and Grace Schwind; aunts and uncles, Karen and Harry Walker, Suzy and Gary Shinkle, John and Marie Snow; cousins, Matthew and Kathrine Walker, Ben and Tracey Shinkle, Abagail Snow; and his longtime girlfriend, Katharine E. Sophiea.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Elizabeth Snow and his half brother, Michael Schwind.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Tuesday until the 12:30 p.m. service at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Detroit, with the Rev. Robert Morand officiating. Sullivan's Funeral Home in Royal Oak, Mich., is in charge of arrangements.

She was born Sept. 13, 1904, in Monongahela, Pa., daughter of the late Samuel A. and Lottie Maust Moser.
She was a member of Grace Brethren Church, Uniontown.
She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Betty Moser and Naomi Deck Gouirand.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Deck; two sisters, Edith Thomas and Elizabeth Friend, and a brother, Daniel R. Moser.

Calvin C. Mayhle, 76, of Waynesburg, Pa., died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001, at Health South Mountainview Rehabilitation Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born June 3, 1925, in Moatsville, son of the late Everett and Elsie Newman Mayhle.
He was a retired steelworker from U.S. Steel's Homestead Works, where he was employed for 33 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He lived most of his life in Waynesburg, where he was a member of the VFW Post 4793 and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 461. He was also a member of the United Steelworkers of America.
He is survived by two brothers, Virgil Mayhle, of Waynesburg, Pa., and Cecil Mayhle, of Erie, Pa.; and a sister, Rose Marie Whitlatch, of Waynesburg.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lucas Mayhle and Merle Mayhle.

She was born Nov. 14, 1918, in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Hines Campbell.
She was a licensed practical nurse at Pugh's Nursing Home, Monongalia General Hospital and Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was a former member of St. Ursula's Roman Catholic Church and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton/St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Nolan, at home; two daughters and a spouse, Judith Wiles, of Granville, and Eleanor and James Edward Cummings, of Warren, Ohio; a brother and spouse, Joseph and Brenda Campbell, of Brea, Calif.; six grandchildren, Ricky Johnson, Ronald Stanley, Deana Stanley, Shanee Lindsay, Rene Cummings and Patrick Cummings; six great-grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson, Jamie Johnson, James L. Louise E. Linkous, 89, of Morgantown, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2001, at Morgan Manor Nursing Home in Morgantown.
She was born March 2, 1912, in Eagen, Tenn., daughter of the late Robert and Lena Amos, of Pikeville, Ky.
She attended public schools in Virginia, West Virginia and Kentucky, and graduated from Beria Academy, Beria, Ky., in 1929. Living most of her life in the Holden area, she was active in many civic and social organizations. She moved to Morgantown in 1993, where she resided in Friendship Manor retirement apartments, The Suites at Village at Heritage Point, and Morgan Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of the Holden Community Church in Holden, and Drummond Methodist Church in Morgantown.
She is survived by her daughter, Peggy J. Cappellanti; sons, Clayton E. Linkous Jr. MD, Clifford M. Linkous DDS, Tom D. Linkous MD, and Dan M. Linkous MD; a brother, Clifford Amos; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clayton E. Linkous; a son, Robert A. Linkous; and three brothers, Robert Amos, Nathaniel Amos and Jimmy Amos.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, at Highland Memory Gardens Chapel, Pecks Mills.

She was born May 8, 1916, in Morgantown, daughter of the late Duard and Effie Cunningham Wolfe.
She attended Morgantown High School and was a member of Sabra United Methodist Church. She was formerly employed at Morgan Shirt Factory and had an 18-year career in food service at the WVU Student Union. She loved to sew and cook, and had a green thumb.
She is survived by a son and spouse, Glenn D. Jr. and Susan Blosser, of Morgantown; a daughter and spouse, Nancy and Chuck Jamison, and their dog, Katie, all of Charlotte, N.C.; two brothers, Clifford Wolfe and Bobbie Joe Wolfe, both of Morgantown; and a granddaughter, Nicole Blosser.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn D. Blosser Sr.; and two brothers, Wilbert Wolfe and Lester Wolfe.
Friends may call at Hastings Funeral Home from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23, until the 11 a.m. service, with the Rev. Stacy L. Groscup officiating. Burial will be in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
Nancy Jo Boyce
Nancy Jo Boyce, 64, of Fairmont, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2001, at Fairmont General Hospital after a long illness.
She was born April 1, 1937, in Fairmont, daughter of the late George McMann and Opal R. Martin McMann Gadd.
She was a homemaker. She was a Fairmont Senior High School graduate and worked serveral years for C&P Telephone Co., in Fairmont. She was an avid reader and dog enthusiast who often took in strays at her home.
She is survived by her husband, Cecil R. Boyce; a brother-in-law and spouse, Charles and Janet Boyce, of Irving, Texas; a sister-in-law and spouse, Shirley and Dave Doll, of Boothsville; and her mother-in-law, Hattie Boyce, of Fairmont.
She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Fred Gadd, and her father-in-law, Arthur A. Boyce.
