Edith Shrout Ferguson, 76, of Reedsville, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2001, at home.
She was born March 19, 1925, in Kingwood, daughter of the late Albert Solomon and Blanche Edith Shell Shrout.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Henry V. Ferguson; a son, Daniel Ferguson, of Wadsworth, Ohio; four daughters, Sue Ann Khanna, of Chantilly, Va., Daric Espy, of Oil City, Pa., Fay Lyn Young, of Seneca, Pa., and Marie Reighard, of Green, Ohio; five brothers, Junior Clinton Shrout, William Albert Shrout, and Donald Clark Shrout, all of Kingwood, George Arthur Shrout, of Hurricane, and Robert Lee Shrout, of North Carolina; a sister, Sara Elizabeth Teets, of Kingwood; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three children; three brothers; two sisters; a half-brother; and a stepmother.
Service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at Waldeck Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Akron, Ohio. Donations: Mill Chapel Brethren Church on the Kingwood Pike.

Leslie H. Sanders, 60, of Tunnelton, Campground community, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2001, at home.

Josie 'Dottie' Musgrave
Josie Morrison Musgrave, 58, of Fairmont, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, following a long illness.
She was born April 9, 1943, in Smithtown, daughter of Hester Frances Keaton Morrison, of Smithtown, and the late Edwin Burke Morrison.
She was a homemaker and a mother. She had worked as a nurse at Walnut Avenue Nursing Home for four years, and later as a nurse's aid at Fairmont General Hospital. She was Christian, and attended the Viola Union Mission Church. She also had attended Morgantown High School.
She is also survived by her husband, Emery Daniel Musgrave; a daughter, Ellen Musgrave, of Fairmont; a son and spouse, Daniel "Eddie" and Vicki Musgrave, of Fairmont; two granddaughters, Antonia Marie Musgrave, and Lauren Elizabeth Musgrave; three grandsons, Alex Weingard, Toni Weingard, and Ryan Hartley; three brothers and a spouse, Jimmy Morrison, of Smithtown, Russell Morrison, of Smithtown, and Paul and Cheryl Morrison, of East Grafton Road, Fairmont; a sister and spouse, Frances and Nelson Baker, of Smithtown; three aunts and an uncle, Dorothy Davis, of Fairmont, Mabel Morrison, of Florida, and Goldie and Leslie Keaton, of Morgantown; and sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law, Barbara Marks, of Grant Town, Gary and Patty Musgrave, of Corbin Branch, and Lee and Mid Musgrave, of Ohio.

Anne L. Moran
Anne L. Moran, 86, of Fairmont, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, at her son's home.
She was born Jan. 1, 1915, in Masontown, Pa., daughter of the late Harvey and Addie P. Raeger Leonard.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was employed by the Security Bank in Fairmont. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and enjoyed meeting with her friends at McDonald's.
She is survived by a son and a spouse, Allen and Betty Moran, of Fairmont; two grandsons, Kelley Moran, and Allen Moran Jr.; and a great-grandson, Hayden Alexander Moran.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kelley Moran; and several brothers, and sisters.
Friends may call at Domico Funeral Home, Fairmont, from 2-8 p.m. Sunday. Services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 24, with Pastor Jeffrey A. Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery.
Wesley Junior Malone
Wesley "June" Junior Malone, 76, of Opekiska community, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, at home.
He was born at Opekiska on Sept. 16, 1925, son of the late Wesley N. and Maude Swisher Malone.
He retired as a mine foreman from Consolidation Coal Co. Loveridge Mine. He had worked for CONSOL for 35 years at both Loveridge and Jordan Mines. After his retirement, he continued to work on his farm at Opekiska raising Black Angus cattle for the last 20 years. He enjoyed his family, his farm and an occasional fishing trip. He was a graduate of Morgantown High School, and served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bertha Mae Rundle Malone; a son and spouse, Wesley "Chip" F. and Beverly Malone, of Morgantown; two brothers and spouses, Bernard and Edna Malone, of Opekiska, and Walter and Betty Malone, of Halleck Road; a sister, Lula Mae "Molly" Shaffer, of Opekiska; and a granddaughter and spouse, Heather and Michael Garrison, of Charleston.
He was also preceded in death by six brothers, Robert Brooks "Johnny" Malone, Arthur A. Malone, Edgar H. Malone, Richard J. Malone, Lawrence Lee Malone, and William F. Malone; and three sisters, Lela Phillips, Virginia Moon, and Emma Ellen Tinder.

Mary McFarland Boice
Mary McFarland Boice, 83, of Grafton, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2001, in the United Hospital Center.
She was born Jan. 3, 1918, in Colfax, daughter of the late Robert Fletcher and Zoe Johnson Knight.
She was a seamstress for 26 years with Grafton Apparel Manufacturing Company. She was a member of the Hebron Baptist Church, Ladies Garment Workers Union 264 and VFW Auxiliary 3081. She was an avid gardener and loved the outdoors.
She is survived by two sons and spouses, Charles R. and Mary McFarland, of Melbourn, Fla., and William D. and Doletta McFarland, of Grafton; a stepson and spouse, Lowell and Norma Boice; five grandchildren, Melissa Mitchell, Trina Claxton, Craig Cumpston, Kristy Lantz and Aaron McFarland; five stepgrandchildren, Bill Boice, Dana Adams, Trudy Mosher, David Brown and Donna Jamison; five great-grandchildren, Amanda Wright, Darrell McFarland, Kelsey Cheshire, Katelynn Mitchell and Charlie Claxton; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Earl McFarland; her second husband, Russell R. Boice; four half-brothers, Plummer, Earl, Everett and Ray Hoskins; and a grandchild, Micah McFarland.

Atam P. Arya
Professor Emeritus Atam P. Arya, 67, of Morgantown, died July 28, 2001, at Ruby Memorial Hospital of heart disease.
He was born in June 2, 1934, in Punjab, India.
During the partition of India, his family resettled in New Delhi. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees in physics from Birla College, India. He came to the United States as a graduate student in 1957 and received a Ph.D. in physics from Pennsylvania State University at State College, Pa., in 1960.
He began his teaching career at the physics department of West Virginia University in 1964. His research was in nuclear spectroscopy. He published more than 25 papers and seven textbooks in both English and Japanese, including "Elementary Modern Physics" and "Introductory College Physics." He was a member of the American Physical Society, American Association of Physics Teachers, Sigma Xi and Sigma Pi Sigma. He became a naturalized American citizen in 1972. He enjoyed gardening, traveling and Indian culture.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline A. Arya; a daughter and spouse, Pamela K. Arya and R. Reed. White Jr., of McLean, Va; a daughter Kamela K. Arya, of San Francisco; two grandsons, Adam R. Arya White and Andrew K. Arya White, both of McLean; and three sisters and a brother, all of New Delhi.

Angie O. Stone, 87, of Austin Way, Morgantown, formerly of Over Cheat, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, at MonPointe Continuing Care Center.
She is survived by four sons and spouses, Willis and Jacqueline Stone, and John and Ruth Stone, all of Morgantown, Clarence and Betty Stone, of Hunker, Pa., and Roy and Yvonne Stone, of Morgantown; two daughters and spouses, Karen and Tim Bowers, of Morgantown, and Sigrid and John Williams, of Midlothian, Va.; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and caregivers, Mary Tasker, Darlene Mullenax, Joyce White and Lisa Corley, Linda Yost and Nancy Bishop.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Willis Stone Sr.; a brother, Hazel Paugh; and four sisters, Esta Bolyard, Beatrice Reynolds, Maude Miller and Ollie Carpenter.

Lessie M. Haines, 97, of Waynesburg, Pa., died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001, at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Gilbert Haines; and a grandson, Thomas Garrison.

Paul R. Campbell
Paul Raymond Campbell, 82, of Morgantown, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, at Sundale Nursing Home after a long illness.
He was born Dec. 8, 1918, in Metz, near Mannington, son of the late Lawrence Milford and Bertha Jane Hughes Campbell.
He was a 1936 graduate of Mannington High School and a 1948 graduate of West Virginia University in electronics. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Italy and Northern Africa. He was a member of Drummond Chapel United Methodist Church of Morgantown. He was a 50-year Mason Wheeling Lodge AF&AM 5 member.
From 1948-71, he owned and managed Morgantown Radio-TV Shop of High Street. He later owned Campbell's Electronics on Richwood Avenue until his retirement in 1988. He was an avid golfer, having been a member of the Morgantown Golf and Country Club, and one of the original members of The Pines. He had four holes-in-one over the years. He enjoyed the hobby of metal detecting, having several articles published in magazines dedicated to treasure hunters. He was once on the cover of The Dominion Post's Panorama magazine featuring the hobby. He tallied more than 225,000 coins over his 25 years of hunting.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Hazel Marie Stevens Campbell, whom he married Jan. 25, 1951; a daughter and spouse, Linda Campbell and Dr. Robert Havern, of Morgantown; two sons and spouses, Robert and Linda Campbell, of Atlanta, and David and Sharon Campbell, of Pittsburgh; two brothers, Lawrence Campbell, of Fairmont, and Byron Campbell, of Weirton; three sisters, Marjorie Boyd, of California, Edna Satterfield, of Fairmont, and Mary Jo Kull, of Wellsburg; and 14 nieces and nephews.
At his request, his body was donated to the WVU Human Gift Registry. A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at Drummond Chapel United Methodist Church. Donations: Drummond Chapel United Methodist Church, 479 Van Voorhis Road, Morgantown, WV 26505.
David Allen Gray
David Allen Gray, 47, of Mannington, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, at Fairmont General Hospital.
He was born June 10, 1954, in Mannington, son of Frank and Pauline Toland Gray, of Mannington.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of Boilermakers Union Local 667 and worked in construction. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and hunting ginseng.
He is also survived by his wife of 25 years, Debra Ann Martin Gray; a son and spouse, Samuel and Christine Gray, of Mannington; a grandson, Cody Allen Gray; a granddaughter expected in October; two godchildren, David Wright and Lucy Wright, both of Mannington; two brothers and spouse, Frankie Gray, and George and Jennifer Gray, all of Mannington; and two sisters and spouses, Vicki and Tom George, and Sharon and Jay Wilcox, all of Mannington.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Gray.

Word has been received of the death of Pauline E. Sterling, 96, of Barrackville, who died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001, at Fairmont General Hospital.
She was born Feb. 21, 1905, in Masontown, daughter of the late Samuel V. and Lydia Foreman Elliott.
She was a member of Barrackville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters and a spouse, Louise Corbin, of New Mexico, and Betty and Earl Smith, of Texas; two sons and spouses, Lantz T. and Orie Ellen Sterling, of Mannington; and John and Ruth Ann Sterling, of Fairmont; three sisters and a spouse, Sue Marsh, of Utah, Kathleen Wilburn, of Fairmont, and Martha Helen and Scott Richardson; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lantz T. Sterling; four brothers, Willard R. Elliot, Samuel P. Elliot, Bud Elliot, and Judd Elliot; and two sisters, Marsilete Keener, and Agatha Fleming.

Virginia Shoemaker
Virginia Pearl Shoemaker, 84, of Bruceton Mills, formerly of Burlington, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, at the Madison House.
She was born Nov. 16, 1916, daughter of the late David E. and Rosa Nell Baldwin Liller.
Having lived in Burlington for most of her married life, she was a member of the Beaver Run Church of the Brethren and was also active in the Kelly Chapel Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by a daughter and spouse, Dorothy N. and Charles Ray Moyers, of Bruceton Mills; six grandchildren and spouses, Diana and Dana Hewitt, of McKeesport, Pa., Charles H. and Winnie Moyers and William R. and Judith Moyers, all of Bruceton Mills, Wes Shoemaker and Shannon and Ralph Alt, all of Burlington, and Tamera and Emery Thorn, of Keyser; seven great-grandchildren, Daniel Hewitt, David Hewitt, Daryl Hewitt, Charles J. Moyers, Amy Moyers, Treavis Moyers and Jeremy Purintan.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard K. Shoemaker Jr., on Jan. 8, 1984, three months before their 50th wedding anniversary; a son, James H. Shoemaker, on May 7, 1996; an infant daughter; and a brother, Charles E. Liller.

Martin Andrew Czikray, 49, of Point Marion, Pa., died Friday, Sept. 21, 2001, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 6, 1951, at Gates, Pa., son of the late Andrew and Mildred Czikray.
He was a coal miner at Maple Creek Mine and was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 1932, in Point Marion.
He is survived by his wife, La-Verne Whitaker Czikray; five sons, David Czikray, of Masontown, Pa., Jeremy and Martin Samek, both of Carmichaels, Pa., and Shawn Hall and Wesley Core, both of Point Marion; a granddaughter, Erica Jo Core; two brothers, Daniel Czikray, of Ohio, and Joseph Czikray, of Indiana; and two sisters, Patty Miner, and Marge LeCount, both of Carmichaels.

Elsie Janice Blehschmidt, 81, of Fenwick Avenue, Morgantown, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, at home.
She was born Nov. 20, 1919, in Clarksburg, daughter of the late Glendie and Albert Tinney Bean.
She was a member of Suncrest United Methodist Church Drummond Chapel Campus.
She is survived by two sons and spouses, Edwin and Nancie Blehschmidt and Rodney and Deborah Blehschmidt, all of Morgantown; three sisters, Eula Westbrook and Frances Pyles, both of Phoenix, and Roxie Dowing, of Sheb Wooled, Wash.; a brother, Hollis Austin Bean, of Phoenix; and three grandchildren, David, Jeffrey and Robert Blehschmidt.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Darold Harvey Blehschmidt, in 1999; two sisters, Eva Duncan and Edith James; and a brother, Luther Bean.

Elmer Lee Edwards
Elmer Lee Edwards, 63, of Grafton, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2001, at United Hospital Center.
He was born June 9, 1938, son of Hallie I. Newlon Edwards, of Grafton, and the late Harry Marcellus Edwards.
He was a beloved husband, loving dad and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Cathy A. Wagner; three sons, Brian Edwards, Andrew Edwards and Timmy Edwards; three daughters, Louise Edwards, Regina Edwards and Peggy Edwards; three sisters, Evelyn Stewart, of Salem, Ellen Hammons, of Morgantown, and Christine Adams, of Grafton; and a granddaughter, Cheyenne Edwards.

Rosella M. Rousseau
Rosella M. Rousseau, 89, of University Avenue, Morgantown, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001, at Trippet's Adult Living Home, Morgantown.
She was born Aug. 3, 1912, in Morgantown, daughter of the late Alexander and Victoria Moreau Rousseau.
She retired from C&P Telephone Co. after 40 years of service as a telephone operator. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Star City and formerly a longtime member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Business and Professional Women's Club, Friends of University Hospital, Sierra Club, Monongalia County Historical Society and Birth Right.
She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Kathryn C. Rousseau, of Cassville, and Catherine V. Rousseau, of Youngstown, Ohio.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Arsene, Ralph and George Rousseau; and two sisters, Abeline Mike and Margaret Davis.

Stephen Panson
Stephen Panson, 75, of Riverview, Mich., formerly of Jere, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2001.
He was born in Jere, son of the late George and Helen Petroukalis Panson.
He was a graduate of University High School and WVU School of Engineering. He received his master's degree from the Univerity of Oregon. He was a veteran of World War II. He retired from Wyandotte Chemicals of Michigan and was a member of the Wyandotte Lions Club and the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Detroit.
He is survived by his wife, Dena Panson, of Riverview; a son and spouse, Tony and Julie Panson; a daughter and spouse, Stacey and Scott Lindquist; a brother and spouse, Anthony "Tony" and Rose Panson, of Over Cheat; and three grandchildren, Stephan, Alexandra and Wyatt.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Harry Panson.
Burial was in Michigan.
