Walter D. Smith, 84, of Bell Run Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, in Huntersville, N.C. He was born Aug. 25, 1917, in Albright, a son of the late Edward P. and Nora Wolfe Smith.
Mr. Smith was a member of the Central United Methodist Church of Fairmont. He was retired from Monongahela Power Co. of Fairmont. He was a member of the A.F. & A.M. Acacia Lodge 157 in Fairmont, and was an 18th-degree Scottish Rite Mason. He enjoyed hunt ing and fishing in his spare time.
He is survived by sons and spouses, Nelson D. and Judy Smith, of Wilmington, N.C., Robert L. and Pam Smith, of Huntersville, N.C., Jackie T. and Marilyn Smith, of Morgantown; daughter and spouse, Judy Caroline and Don Hamrick, of Statesville, N.C.; brother, Venton H. Smith, of Orlando, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenna Carol Thomas Smith; brother, Oscar Smith; and sister, Martha Gibson.

Virginia Lucas Taylor
Virginia "Aunt Jinny" Lucas Taylor, 79, of Knotts Avenue, Grafton, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, at the home of her nephew, Victor L. Bartlett, of Grafton, after an extended illness.
She was born Aug. 12, 1922, in Grafton, a daughter of the late Victor Lucas and Myrtle Utt Lucas.
Ms. Taylor was a guardian aunt to Victor L. Bartlett and wife Kathy, of Grafton, Taffy Magnifco and husband John, of Jacksonville, Fla., Jenny DeLany and husband Bob, of Grafton; and two brothers, Jack Lucas, of Belington, and David Lucas, of Grafton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Gertrude Bartlett.
The family will receive friends at Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton from 3-9 p.m. on Thursday and from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, 2002. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2002, at the funeral home with Pastor Thomas P. Horne officiating. Interment will be in West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown. Military graveside services will be conducted by the VFW Memorial City Post 3081 of Grafton, American Legion Taylor County Post 12, and the D.A.V. Chapter 24 of Grafton and their auxiliaries.
Ethel Blanche Martin
Ethel Blanche Martin, 84, a lifelong resident of Terra Alta, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002, at Heartland of Preston County.
She was born April 29, 1917, in Terra Alta, a daughter of the late William Henry and Ruth Ann Cummings Moore.
She was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother, a member of the Preston County Historical Society and the Trinity United Methodist Church in Terra Alta.
She is survived by four sons and spouses, Leslie and Barbara Martin, of Terra Alta; Harold and Judy Martin, of Morgantown; Melvin and Suzanne Martin, of Virginia; and Dennis and Reva Martin, of Terra Alta; one daughter and spouse, Phyllis and Bruce Hoffman, of Fairmont; 12 grandchildren, Tamera Phoulom, Bryan Martin, Greg Hoffman, Mark Hoffman, Carol Talkington, Melissa Shanholtz, Philip Martin, Melanie Anton, Nathan Martin, Sarah Martin, Laura Martin and Paula Thorn; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles N. Martin; a daughter, Carol Sue Hoffman; a brother, Chester Orval Moore; and a sister, Ruby Alice Moore.
Friends may call at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Terra Alta from 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, until the noon service, with the Rev. Ernie Metheny and the Rev. William Anderson officiating. Evelyn G. Blosser
Evelyn G. Blosser, 74, of Point Marion, Pa., (Nilan), died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, in the Morgan Manor Nursing Home, Morgantown.
She was born in Rowlesburg, on March 17, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Roy Otis and Bernice Edna Rosier Nestor.
She was a member of the Nilan Apostolic Church, formerly employed by Sacco Glass in Morgantown, and retired from the Building Services Department of West Virginia University after 14 years employment.
She is survived by her husband, Alvie W. Blosser; a son, Alvie W. Blosser Jr., of Point Marion; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Robert Zembar, of Point Marion; three grandchildren, Robert A. Zember and Amy Eichelberger, of Point Marion, and Jennifer Blosser, of Masontown, Pa.; a great-granddaughter, Shelby Jonell Zembar; three brothers, Elwood Nestor and Kenneth Nestor, both of Morgantown, James Nestor, of Point Marion; and two sisters, Connie Naylor, of Point Marion, and Betty King, of Morgantown.
Preceding her in death were four brothers, Leroy, Lewis, Richard and Leon Nestor; and two sisters, Gladys Sue Nestor Robbins and Shirley Nestor.
Friends will be received in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, on Friday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m., and Saturday until 11 a.m., the hour of the service with Rev. Charles Ruble officiating. Interment follows in Mount Israel Cemetery, Fellowsville.
Roy Basnett
Roy Basnett, 88, of Worthington, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002, at St. Barbara's Memorial Nursing Home in Monongah, following an extended illness.
He was born Feb. 14, 1913, in Worthington, son of the late William E. and Evelena Bock Basnett. He was the last member of a family of six children.
Mr. Basnett was a lifelong resident of Worthington. The last three years he was a patient at St. Barbara's Nursing Home in Monongah. He served his hometown as president of the Worthington Volunteer Fire Department; a member of Town Council, and as mayor. He was also a trustee and past chairman of the board of Worthington Christian Church. In 1990, he was voted the outstanding Democrat of Marion County. He was a graduate of Monongah High School class of 1932 and was a member of the Moose Lodge 9 in Fairmont. He retired from Monongahela Power Co., Rivesville Power Station, with 32 years of service.
Mr. Basnett is survived by his wife, Doris J. Minear Basnett (their 61st wedding anniversary was observed Dec. 28, 2001); five sons and spouses, Thomas E. and Vickie Basnett, of Shinnston, Dennis G. and Judy Basnett, of North Marion Heights, Carlton and Pamela Basnett, of Fairmont, Charles Jackson Basnett, of Denver, Colo., and Michael A. and Debra Basnett, of Worthington; eight grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Basnett, Laura Jean Shreves, Kerri Kinsey, Sherri Clutter, Jason P. Basnett, Heather L. Basnett, Scott Andrew Basnett and Todd Michael Basnett; and seven great-grandchildren, Hali Wilson, Christopher and Allie Shreves, Reed and Amber Basnett, Chad Rector and Matthew Clutter.
Friends will be received at the Harmer Funeral Home, Shinnston, from 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, with the Rev. Lynn White officiating. Herschell H. Gordey Jr.
Herschell Howard Gordey Jr., of Morgantown, formerly of Kansas City, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, at home.
He was born April 24, 1938, in Van Buren, Ark., son of the late Herschell H. Sr. and Delpha Wharton Gordey.
He owned car lots in the Kansas City area, where he worked as an automobile salesman for several years.
He is survived by three sons, Ricky and spouse Debbie Gordey, of Morgantown, Johnny Gordey, of Independence, Mo., Jerry and spouse Jenny Gordey, of Independence, Mo.; a daughter, Vicki, and spouse Kevin Moore, of Fairmont; two brothers, Darrell Gordey, of Fort Smith, Ark., Wilburn Gordey Sr., of Kansas City, Mo.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robie Gordey Sr.

Lillian Carolyn Stiller
Lillian Carolyn Stiller, 95, of Van Voorhis Road, Morgantown, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 22, 1906, in Irvington, N.J., a daughter of the late Adolph and Emma Lang Haase.
She had worked as a food service worker at White Haven State School in Pennsylvania and was a member of the Eastern Star, Lehigh Chapter 193. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in White Haven.
She is survived by two sons and spouses, David W. and Connie Stiller, of White Haven, and Alfred H. and Patricia Stiller, of Morgantown; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman J. Stiller; and one sister, Ruth H. Smalley.

John Amos Liston Sr.
John Amos Liston Sr., 69, of Terra Alta, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, in Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown.
The son of the late Walter D. and Lottie Howdershelt Liston, he was born July 29, 1932, in Lenox.
He was formerly employed for 43 years by Sterling Faucet Co., Morgantown. He was also a farmer and owner of Liston Produce on Brandonville Pike. He attended Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, Cuzzart.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Edith Livengood Liston; two sons, Samuel D. Liston and Lynn F. Liston; two daughters, Juanita and spouse, Ronald Kelly, and Joann Liston, all of Terra Alta; two brothers, Bobby Liston of Wadestown and Dailey Liston of Terra Alta; five sisters, Ida Row of Morgantown, Betty Martino of Wadestown, Maxine Friend and Lucy Mayne, both of Arthurdale, and Katheline Emerson of Kingwood; two half-sisters, Ruby Ringer of Reedsville and Georgie Sisler of Terra Alta; and three grandsons, Jason, Justin and Christopher Kelly.
He was preceded in death by a son, John Amos Liston Jr., on March 11, 1998; three brothers, three sisters, one half-brother and five half-sisters.

Mary S. Goldsborough
Mary Susan Goldsborough, 86, of Bruceton Mills, W.Va., died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, in The Madison Rehab and Nursing Center, Morgantown.
The daughter of the late Jonathan R. and Rachel May Summers Heath, she was born Jan. 23, 1915, in Springfield.
She was a homemaker and an animal lover.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Goldsborough, of Bruceton Mills, and Dana Goldsborough, of Bruceton Mills; two daughters, Roberta and spouse Robert Jacobs, of Bruceton Mills, and Michelle Goldsborough, of Bruceton Mills; a grandson, Luke and spouse Brenda Seese; a granddaughter, Anita Clark; and three great-grandchildren, Eric Clark, Casey and Carla Seese.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Goldsborough, on Nov. 27, 1971; an infant daughter, an infant brother and two sisters, Lillian Watring and Idella Forman.
A memorial service will be held at the Bruceton United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002, with Rev. Vicki Sheppard officiating.

Elizabeth 'Betsy' Moran
Elizabeth "Betsy" Lorraine Bartlett Moran, 79, of East Grafton Road, Fairmont, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002, at Alliance Personal Care Home in Grafton following an extended illness.
She was born June 29, 1922, in Fairmont, Marion County, a daughter of the late Thamer J. and Helen Ewing Bartlett.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a 1940 graduate of Fairmont Senior High School, and attended Fairmont State College and St. Mary's School of Nursing in Clarksburg. Mrs. Moran was a member of Central Christian Church in Fairmont for over 50 years. At Central Christian Church she was a member of the Bethany Chapman Woman's Group, a former deacon, board member, and co-leader of the CYF Youth Group. She was also a member of Chapter 34, Order of the Eastern Star of Fairmont, and the Fairmont Ladies Shrine, and a former member of Hickman Run Homemakers Club, Fairmont Riding Club, East Grafton Road and Fairmont Lioness Clubs, where she was active in various club programs. She and her husband owned and operated the Morandale Court Rentals.
She is survived by her husband of 59 1/2 years, Oscar E. Moran of Fairmont; one daughter, Janice Elaine Cruikshank and son-in-law Robert of Mt. Lebanon, Pa.; one son, James Earl Moran and daughter-in-law Elizabeth of Fairmont; four grandchildren, Matthew Robert Cruikshank of Fairmont, Malinda Renee Cruikshank of New York City, James Eric Moran of Lowell, Fla., and Jeffrey Elliott Moran of Fairmont; one great-grandson, Cable Thayer Cruikshank of Fairmont; three stepgrandsons, Jeffrey Fawcett, Eric Fawcett and Alex Fawcett, all of Fairmont; one sister, Helen Louise Donithan of Orlando, Fla.; eight nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia B. Dewitt and Genevieve B. McDowell.

Kathleen 'Katie' Zinn
Kathleen G. "Katie" Zinn, 67, of Durbin Street, Grafton, died of an extended illness Jan. 11, 2002, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born May 18, 1934, in Grafton, the daughter of the late Ledford F. "Sam" Kirby and Josephine C. Gelhausen Kirby.
Mrs. Zinn was a retired cook at the Anna Jarvis School, was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and was a member of the St. John's United Methodist Church of Grafton.
She is survived by her husband of over 48 years, Jerry F. Zinn, whom she married on June 1, 1953; two sons, William "Fred" Zinn and wife, Janet, and Richard "Allen" Zinn and wife, Pam, all of Grafton; five sisters, Florence Boyles and husband Gene, Esther Shroyer, Sara Arnold and husband Jimmy, and Mona Lisa Moore and husband David, all of Grafton, and Betty J. Stansbury and husband, David, of Frederick, Md.; three grandchildren, Michael A. Zinn, Casandra A. Zinn, and Amanda Leopard; two stepgrandchildren, Drew and Devon Fields; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Kirby, of Virginia Beach, Va.; one brother-in-law, William D. Zinn, of Delaware, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Harold F. Kirby; and one daughter-in-law, Cam E. Zinn.

Mary Bolyard
Mary M. Bolyard, 81, of Tunnelton, Denver community, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, at Preston Memorial Hospital in Kingwood.
She was born Sept. 30, 1920, in Erwin, a daughter of the late Charles and Letta Hardesty Huffman. She retired from Hopemont State Hospital, where she was employed in the laundry department. She was a member of the Colonel Rowan VFW Post 2345 Ladies' Auxiliary, and an avid bingo player.
She is survived by two sons and spouses, Donald E. and Carol Sue Bolyard, and Larry J. and Rosemary Bolyard, all of Tunnelton; one son-in-law, Jerry Layton, of Tunnelton; one brother, Delbert "Buck" Huffman, of Fellowsville; four sisters, Josephine Lantz, of Tunnelton, Betty Bell and Dora Wolfe, both of Rowlesburg, and Florence Shaffer, of Kingwood; six grandchildren and spouses, Connie and Curtis Shannon, Robin and Robin Rhodes, Carla Layton, Jerry "Jay" and Cindy Layton, Bryan Bolyard, and Lisa and Scott Hall; and seven great-grandchildren, Kristie Rhodes, Cody Rhodes, Samantha Layton, Joshua Layton, Tyler Shannon, Lucas Shannon and Sydney Hall.

Born on April 25, 1920, in Brookside, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Squire Lantz.
She is survived by her husband, Fred J. Teets; and several nieces and nephews.

Carrie Elizabeth Cantis
Carrie Elizabeth Cantis, 99, of Morgantown, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002, at Morgan Manor.
She was born Nov. 26, 1902, at Friendsville, Md., the daughter of the late Jacob and Jane Casteel.
She was a homemaker, and Protestant by faith.
She is survived by a son and spouse, Robert and Annett Bowsher, of Morgantown; a daughter, Frances Stover, of Morgantown; two daughters-in-law, Martha Bowsher, of Morgantown, and Betty Bowsher, of Texas; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Cantis; two sons, Gene and Ray Bowsher; two daughters, Pauline Pixler and Margaret Voithofer; three brothers, Lloyd, Junior, and Goldie Casteel; and two sisters, Bertha Fredica and Mary Ross.

Agatha 'Aggie' Sue Beach
Agatha "Aggie" Sue Beach, 62, of Mount Morris, Pa., died at 11:10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 28, 1939, in Plattsburgh, N.Y., daughter of the late Lawrence and Myra Wilcox LaBombard.
Mrs. Beach was a graduate of Keeseville High School, Keeseville, N.Y. and had resided in Mount Morris since 1971. She was a member of the Mount Morris Gospel Tabernacle. Mrs. Beach had worked as a cook and baker at Bi-Lo Foods, Morgantown, and was last employed at the Mount Morris Senior Center. She enjoyed craft work and collecting porcelain dolls. She was a loving mother and friend. On Oct. 1, 1962, she married Orbin F. Beach, who died Sept. 16, 1990.
Surviving are three sons, Bruce A. LaBombard and wife Dorothy, of Mount Morris, Carl F. Beach and wife Pamela, of Gamble Road, Morgantown, and Andrew L. Beach, of Morgantown; a stepson, Thomas G. Beach, of Alabama; a stepdaughter, Kathy Bjelke, of Selma, Ala.; five brothers, Floyd LaBombard, of Lewis, N.Y., Donald LaBombard, of Midland, Texas, Spencer LaBombard, of Belton, Texas, Larry LaBombard, of New Boston, Texas, and Carl LaBombard, of Balston Spa, N.Y.; a longtime special companion and friend, Charles E. Goodwill, with whom she made her home; her last surviving aunt, Agatha Parrott, of the Villages, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

Frances Suzanne Adams
Frances Suzanne Adams, 63, of Kingwood, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002, at Heartland of Preston County.
She was born March 21, 1938 in Milwaukee, Wis., a daughter of the late Todd Anton Warner and Helen Whetzel. She was self-employed for several years and retired from Heartland of Preston County where she was employed as a LPN for six years. She was a member of the Fort Butler VFW Post #826 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2391 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by one daughter, Kathryn Adams, of Kingwood; one son and spouse, Jack and Vicki Adams, of New Orleans; one sister and spouse, Sharon and Brad Schiefelbein, of Laurel, Md.; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Adams and Jonathon Adams; and three nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kylan Danielle Adams.
Friends may call at the James G. Lobb Funeral Home in Kingwood, on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, from 3-6 p.m. Interment will be in Highland Memorial in Milwaukee, Wis.
Mary M. Ford
Mary M. Ford, 80, of Route 1, Grafton, Parkview Community, formerly of Saint Charles Street, passed away on Friday, Jan. 11, 2002, at Grafton City Hospital.
She was born Feb. 20, 1921, in Barbour County, daughter of the late William and Susan Cline Martin.
Her husband was the beloved Lewis Edwin Ford, who passed away on Dec. 7, 1984.
Surviving are six children, James L. Ford, of Grafton, Joyce M. Dillon, of Grafton, Carolyn J. Martin, of Wiley Ford, Carl M. "Mick" Ford, of Grafton, Judith Ann Poling, of Grafton, with whom she made her home with, and Patrick M. Ford, of Short Gap.
Surviving also are 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ford was proceded in death by two daughters, Shirley J. Ford and Freda L. Ford, who died in infancy.
The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home on Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, from 5-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Joe West officiating. Interment will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Taylor County.
Carolyn Boyle
Carolyn Glasscock Boyle, 74, of Heritage Point, Morgantown, and Windermere, Fla., formerly of Kingwood, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at Monongalia General Hospital.
She was born May 3, 1927, in Morgantown, daughter of the late William Ellsworth and Althea Vickers Glasscock.
She was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church.
She was a 1947 graduate of West Virginia University. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and Service League of America, and was active in many local organizations.
She is survived by her husband to whom she was devoted for 54 years, John Payton "Jack" Boyle; three sons and spouses, William G. and Karen Boyle, of Kingwood, Mark E. and Mary Boyle, of Morgantown, Edward P. II and Virginia Boyle, of Morgantown; one daughter and spouse, Ann V. and Juan Colon, of Ocoee, Fla.; five grandsons, John P. Boyle II, Ryan Boyle, Tyler Boyle, Christopher Colon, Michael Colon; six granddaughters, Brienne Boyle, Kate Boyle, Caroline Boyle, Sarah Boyle, Shelby Boyle and Carly Colon.
She was also preceded in death by twin sons at birth in 1951, Patrick and Michael; and one sister, Thea G. Shephard.
Friends may call at Hastings Funeral Home on Monday from 6-9 p.m. and at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, where the body will lie in state from 10 a.m. until time of funeral Mass at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Carl E. Bauer as celebrant. Burial will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery. A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 8:30 p.m.

Michael M. Stankola
Michael M. Stankola, 87, of Dilliner, Pa., died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002, at home.
He was born Feb. 28, 1914, in Woodside, Pa., son of the late John and Mary Anna Galis Stankola.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Joseph Stankola.
He was a member of St. Ignatius R.C. Church, Bobtown, Pa. He was a retired coal miner and member of the UMWA. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II, and a member of the Point Marion American Legion Post 499.
He is survived by his brother, Steve and wife Ann Stankola, of Dilliner; one sister, Marie Solomon, of Fairmont; two nephews, John Stankola, of Greensboro, Pa., and Ronald Stankola, of Dilliner; one niece, Gloria Harrison, of Fairmont; and one great-niece, Kimberly.
Friends will be received in the Louis E. Rudolph Funeral Home, 15 Main St., Point Marion, on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. On Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002, brief prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius R.C. Church with the Rev. Lawrence V. Holpp as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Little Arlington Section of Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion. Full military rites will be accorded at graveside by the American Legion and VFW of Point Marion.
Kenneth P. Grosselin
Kenneth P. Grosselin, beloved husband of Lenora Cuppett Grosselin, devoted father of Kenneth P., Gary A., and Kim A. Grosselin, Terri L. Rivera, Tracy Brown, and the late William E. Grosselin, dear brother of John Grosselin Jr. and Helen Louise Tuder. Al so survived by 11 grandchildren.
He was born in Morgantown and died Jan. 11, 2002, at 66 years of age in Cincinnati. He was a Vietnam veteran and retired Sgt. Major in the Army.
Visitation is today from 6-8 p.m. at Vorhis Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pike, Springdale, Ohio. Service will be Tuesday Jan. 15, at 1 p.m. Make memorial contributions to American Diabetes Association.
Marjorie L. Smith
Marjorie L. (Morris) Smith, 74, of Route 1, (Blueville Addition) Grafton, passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002, at Grafton City Hospital.
She was born in Hinton, on Oct. 30, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Harry and Lula Lillie Morris.
Her beloved husband was the late Oley "Arnold" Smith who passed away on Sept. 29, 1999.
Surviving are one son, David Arnold Smith and wife Elizabeth Ann Smith, of Grafton; one daughter, Donna Sue Bennett and husband Craig Avery Bennett, of Morgantown; four grandchildren, Tonya Marie Smith, Brandi LeAnn Campbell, Jennifer Dawn Bennett and Jeremy Craig Bennett; five sisters, Ella Sue Morris, of Grafton, Ina Mae Rowe, of Waynesboro, Va., Katy Huffman, of Hinton, Jean Anderson and Janie Meadows, both of Hinton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, James Earl Morris and one grandson, Christopher David Smith.
Mrs. Smith was a member of the Blueville United Methodist Church of Grafton, was a retired registered nurse at Grafton City Hospital with over 30 years of service and was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Crawford officiating. Interment will be in West Virginia National Cemetery.
