Harvey Lee “Chuck” Gentry, Jr., 40, of Accoville, WV, formerly of Fanrock, WV went to be with the Lord and
Daddy’s little girl Harlie on Monday September 14, 2009 at Logan Regional Medical Center. He was born November
11, 1968 in Welch, WV a son of Harvey Lee and Brenda Joyce Bradford Gentry, Sr. Chuck was a heating and air
technician, a 1987 graduate of Baileysville High School and worked for Worldwide Equipment in Holden. He was
preceded in death by his daughter Harlie Breann Gentry and wife Cyndi Sheppard Gentry on March 1, 2004, an
infant brother Teddy Ray Gentry, maternal grandfather Carles Bradford and paternal grandparents Dewey and
Thelma Freeman Gentry. Survivors include his loving wife Melissa “Lisa” Osborne Gentry; parents Harvey Lee and
Brenda Joyce Bradford Gentry, Sr. of Fanrock, WV; two step sons Michael Deel and fiancé Candy Shell of
Accoville, WV and Chuck’s pride, Matthew Osborne of Accoville, WV; a sister Melissa Johnson and husband
Charles of Ashboro, NC; grandmother Betty Bradford of Fanrock, WV; a nephew “Little Buddy” Jacob Johnson; and

Shirley Caroline Burrell Blankenship, 65, of Lillydale, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday
August 27, 2009 at Raleigh General Hospital. She was born April 11, 1944, in Mullens, WV, a daughter of
the late Paul Edward and Helen Ellis Burrell. Shirley was a homemaker and of the Holiness Faith. An
infant son Samuel Matthew Blankenship and two brothers Tony Ellis and Joe Bob Ellis, also preceded her
in death. Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Robert Gene Blankenship; four daughters Edith
and Bobby Rollins of Lynco, Caroline and Gary Eakle of Harrisville, WV, Anita Blankenship and fiancé
Leon Kennedy of Hanover and Geneva and Joshua Pennington of Lillydale; a son David and Norma
Blankenship of Lynco; three sisters JoAnn O’Neal of Herndon, WV, Debra Stanley of St. Mary’s, WV and
Carrie and Doug Shrewsbury of Hurricane, WV; four Paul and Ruby Burrell of Princeton, WV, Harless and

Donald Edward McMillion, 72, of Glen Fork, WV went home to be with the Lord on
Saturday August 22, 2009 at Raleigh General Hospital. He was born on June 10, 1937 in
Glen Fork, WV a son of the late George and Minnie Allen McMillion. He was a retired
welder and a member and faithful deacon of the Pentecostal Community Church in Pineville
and was a member of the Glen Fork Neighborhood Watch. Along with his parents he was
preceded in death by two brothers Elmer and Emory McMillion and a niece Carol Walker.
Survivors include his loving wife Betty Sizemore McMillion; children Barbara McMillion of
Pence Springs, WV and Billy King and husband Jerry of Pence Springs, WV and Jason
Harmon of Harrisonburg, VA; three grandchildren Edith McMillion, Ryan King and Caleb
King; three sisters Betty Gene Griffin of Wyco, WV, Roberta Sylvia Browning of Jesse, WV

On August 16, 2009, Alfred Thomas Robinette, born May 18, 1927, of Coon Branch, WV traveled home
to be with Jesus Christ after a long Battle with cancer. Alf attended the Word of Life P.H. Church in Iaeger,
WV. He loved Bluegrass Music and sitting on his front porch watching the world go by as he smoked his
corncob pipe. When he was younger he had a calling to preach for the Lord and also served time in the
Navy. Alf will be sadly missed by his family and friends. The family wishes to acknowledge with sincere
heartfelt appreciation to Alfred’s earth bound Angels Lynn Meadows and Dwayne Roberts both of Coon
Branch and Agnes Bryant of Coon Branch, WV, we owe you a debt that can never be repaid. He was
preceded in death by his wife, of 46 years, Mary Flossie Estep Robinette; father Virgil Robinette and
mother Minnie Bowels Robinette. Alf had eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Also left behind
to grieve a sister Betty Mullins and husband Clarence Mullins of Michigan; two daughters Theda Mullins
and husband Johnny Mullins of Winston Salem, NC and Nancy Bowels Robinette of Mississippi; two sons
Charles “Shag” Robinette of Bluefield, WV and Randy Robinette and wife Connie Robinette of Proctorville,
OH. Alf had a lot of friends who loved him dearly and a special friend who preceded him in death Sharon
“Little Bit” Morgan, whom he loved dearly. Alfred Robinette put on his Angel Whit Wings on Sunday and
went to see the father! We thank God for the Stafford Family Funeral Home. They had to be a blessing
from Heaven above, because they took a heavy load off of Alfred’s children: Charles, Theda and Randy.

Josephine Irene Stacy, 58, of Gary, WV, formerly of Pineville, WV, passed away on Thursday August
13, 2009 in Bluefield Regional Medical Center. She was born November 6, 1950 in Mullens, WV a
daughter of the late Andrew and Tiny Caudill Reed. Josephine was a resident of McDowell Nursing and
Rehabilitation Center for the past several months and was of the Protestant Faith. Along with her
parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Walter Cook and a granddaughter Samantha
Kennedy. Survivors include her husband Ralph Stacy of Premier, WV; three daughters Carolyn Trump
and husband Kenny of Davy, WV, Teresa Taylor of Ikes Fork, WV and Misty Cook and husband Fred
Kennedy of Bartley, WV; four sons Walter Cook and wife Cristy of Nashville, TN, Ronnie Cook of
Wilmington, NC, Michael Cook of Indian Creek, WV and Bobby Cook of Northfork, WV; four sisters
Sandra Reed, Rebecca Reed and Peggy Kinser all of Brenton, WV and Donna Graley of NC; four

God’s playground on Sunday August 9, 2009 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital. She was born
July 30, 2009 at Logan, WV, a daughter of Michael and Melissa Dawn Walls Belcher of
Hanover, WV. Survivors also include a brother Zachary Hatfield and a sister Heather
Hatfield both of the home; grandparents Michael R. and Kanitta “Kay” Belcher of
Kopperston, WV and Mayford R. Walls of Tamcliff, WV and Sharon Walls of North Spring,
WV; three uncles Ricky Dwight Belcher and wife Norma of Crouches Farm, WV, Kyle

Lisa Lea Rose, 37, of Hanover, WV, passed away on Friday August 7, 2009 at her home.
Lisa was born January 21, 1972 at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia, the daughter of
Charlotte Cline Rose and the late Elisha Rose. She was preceded in death by her
grandparents Howard and Evelyn Cline and Cleve and Ebbie Rose. Lisa graduated in 1990
from Baileysvillle High School and attended Southern West Virginia Community College.
She loved spending time with her friends and family, especially with Emilee. Lisa is survived
by her daughter Emilee Eve Rose; her mother Charlotte Rose and companion Charlie
Roark; and a brother Jeffery Rose. Lisa is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins
and many friends. Lisa never met a stranger and enjoyed talking to everyone. She has left
this life too early and will be sadly missed forever. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM
on Wednesday August 12, 2009 at the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco,

Rev. Dennie Rice Browning, 68, of Jesse, WV went home to be with the Lord on
Wednesday August 5, 2009 at his home. He was born May 26, 1941 in Jesse, WV, a son
of the late Walter Lawrence and Maudie Marie Dameron Browning. Mr. Browning
graduated from Oceana High School in 1959 and later obtained a Divinity Degree from
Liberty University. He was a former logger and Ordained Missionary Baptist Minister
having served many years at Guyandotte Baptist Church. Along with his parents he was
preceded in death by siblings Luetta, Lettie, Orville, four infant sisters, and a grandson
Kenneth Ray Burgess, Jr. Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years Sylvia “Roberta”
McMillon Browning; two daughters Sandra Burgess and husband Kenneth of Keyrock, WV
and Clara Baylis and husband Michael of Jesse Mountain, WV; a sister Hattie Blevins and
husband Charles Edward of Turkey Creek, WV; eight grandchildren Kenny, Jr., Brandi,
Tina, Justin, Kayla, Destiney, Travis and Trevor; three great grandchildren Aiden, Christian
