Brody Kevin Dameron, left this world to play with the angels in Gods
playground, just before he was born on April 18, 2009 at Raleigh General
Hospital, Beckley, WV. Brody is a son of Kevin Dameron and Angela
“Angie” Hannah Dameron of Oceana, WV. Also left to mourn his passing
are his two big brothers Seth and Kaden Dameron of Oceana, WV;
maternal grandparents Dwight and Teresa Hannah of Kopperston, WV;
paternal grandparents Ray and Cathy Dameron of Cyclone, WV; uncles
and aunts Keith and Christie Dameron of Cyclone, WV, Mark Dameron and
Lori of Oceana, WV, Richard Hannah and Misty of Oceana, WV and Joey
Hannah and Kristen of Oceana, WV; cousins Kadee and Hunter Dameron
of Cyclone, WV, Colby and Santana Dameron of Beckley, WV and Kailey
and Brianna Ritchie of Kopperston, WV; great grandparents Rose Harper
of Landville, WV and Alphie Hannah of Kopperston, WV. Friends may

laid to rest at Cyclone, WV, following committal services with Rev.

Curtis "Bud" Browning, Jr., 50, of Clay, formerly of Oceana, passed
away on April 11, 2009, at his home. He was born October 03, 1958 in
Man, WV a son of Curtis and Betty Mounts Browning of Crouches Farm,
WV. His grandmother Mae Browning and a son Jonathan Johnson
preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife Melissa Parsons
Browning; a son Cory and wife Alina, of Kissimmee, Fl; a daughter Tonya
Ortega of Chicago, IL; a grandson Julian and granddaughters Aja and
Maricel; a brother Randy Browning and wife Tina, of Oceana, WV; a
sister Delores Arbogast and husband Larry, of Bluff City, TN; nephews
Joshua and Jacob Argabright of Charleston SC; nieces Natasha "Tash"
Browning Cook of Fairdale WV and Holly Runyon and her sons Kameron,
Konner and Kahn all of Oceana, WV. Bud graduated Oceana High School
in 1977 and was a disabled coal miner. Funeral services will be held at
noon on Wednesday April 15, 2009 at the Chapel of Stafford Family
Funeral Home with Rev. Jackie Grimmett officiating. Friends may gather
with the family from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Bud
will be laid to rest in Sunset cemetery, Bickmore, Clay County, WV.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. The family is being

Randall G. Paugh, 54, of Cyclone, WV passed away Wednesday April 8,
2009 at his home of a heart attack. He was born February 10, 1955 in
Oceana, WV, a son of the late Orville James "Jim" Paugh and Edith
Katherine "Kat" Brown Paugh. He was also preceded in death by a
grandson Evan Cole Cooper and his first wife Karen Sue Cobb Paugh.
Randy was a member of the Lacoma Baptist Church at Cyclone, WV. He
was employed with Patriot Coal's Guyan Mine, a 30 year member of the
UMWA, Local 5958. Randy also enjoyed spending time with his
grandchildren Kara, Brody and Sara Beth, woodworking, hunting, fishing
and a lot of outdoor activities. In addition to his wife of 19 years, Annette
Paugh, he is survived by two daughters Melody Jean Cooper of Kopper
City Bottom and Miranda Jo Paugh of Beckley, WV; three grandchildren
Kara Elyse Cooper, Brody Lee Hunt-Paugh and Sara Beth Harris; two step
children Leslie Ann Harris and husband John Wesley Harris, Jr. of
Hampton - Newport News, VA and Aaron Wesley Toler and fiancée
Becky Story of Davin, WV. Special people in his life were his Aunt Lois
"Woot" Acord and Uncle Jack Acord and their son Greg Acord;
father-in-law Pierce Bailey and mother-in-law Linda Bailey; Rachel Kay
Bailey and her daughter Autumn J. Bailey; George, Rosa, Jerry and
Sandra Cobb. He is also survived by two sisters Linda Lou Blankenship
and husband Floyd of Oceana, WV and Brenda Sue Stafford and husband
Randy of Oceana, WV; four brothers Jimmy Dale Paugh of Kopperston,
WV, Donnie Paugh and wife Dawna of Cyclone, WV, Gary Paugh and
wife Bobbi of Nacogdoches, TX and Ricky Paugh of Gassaway, WV;
nieces and nephews include Christina Hope Paugh, Jamie, Jordan and
Ashlea Paugh, Jennifer Lostracco, Christopher and Shane Blankenship,
Patrick and Jared Stafford and Allen Paugh. In lieu of flowers, donations
can be made to the Lacoma Baptist Church at Cyclone, WV. Funeral
services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday April 14, 2009 at the Lacoma
Baptist Church with Rev. Doc Adkins officiating and the Harless Family
will provide special music. Friends may gather with the family from 6 - 9:00
PM Monday April 13, 2009 at the Lacoma Baptist Church. Mr. Randy
Paugh's Burial will follow in the Cook cemetery on Huff Mountain,
immediately after the service for family members. Pallbearers will be Jimmy
Dale Paugh, Donnie Paugh, Gary Paugh, Ricky Paugh, Rick Chapman and

Kathleen Lowe Durbin, 82, of Oceana, WV went home to be with the
Lord on Tuesday March 24, 2009 at her home.She was born November 22,
1926 in Pine Grove, WV, a daughter of the late Beverly and Bertha Berdine
Lowe. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Kathleen retired from the
Wyoming County Board of Education after many years as a cook at Berlin
McKinney Elementary School. Katie loved gardening and flowers. Her
husband Harold C. "Rough House" Durbin and a son-in-law James "Jim"
Blackburn also preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter Linda
Blackburn of Oceana and a son Bill Durbin and his fiance` Janine Sayer of
Ripley, WV; four grandchildren Brian Blackburn and wife Melissa of
Ravencliff, WV, Karen Blackburn of Cool Ridge, WV, Kathy Jo Cook and
husband Chris of Oceana, WV and Chrissa Black of Ohio; eight great
grandchildren Darian, Carleigh, Gillian, Casey, Maddie, Mason, Justin and
Schyler; along with a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral
services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday March 28, 2009 at the Chapel of
Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Jerry Cook officiating.
Kathleen will be laid to rest with her husband in Palm Memorial Gardens
Mausoleum, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 6 - 8:00
PM Friday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family and friends. A

Sherri Lane Hatfield, 48, of Baileysville, WV entered into a new
life on the morning of March 21, 2009. She was born May 10, 1960
in Welch, WV the daughter of the late Kenneth Ford Cook, Sr. and
Alma Fines Cook Miliam. Sherri was a 1978 graduate of Baileysville
High School. She was a devoted homemaker and a loving mother. In
addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Calvin
Brett Lane; two aunts Katherine Portinch and Jackie Morgan; an
uncle Elie Bevers; and a cousin Delane Morgan. Those left to cherish
her memory include her daughter Jessica Hatfield and fiance` Jason
Waldron of Sophia, WV; her boyfriend Michel St.Clair of Brenton,
WV; step-father Rev. Tom miliam of Oceana, WV; Brother Kenny
Ford Cook and wife Amanda and their daughter Kristen of Turkey
Creek, WV; a granddaughter Alex Miller of TN; two special cousins
Beth Morgan Rowe and Eric Morgan; several other special friends

Jackie Lee Miller, 80, of Cleveland, Ohio, formerly of Lynco, WV, passed
away at his home after a long illness. He was born July 14, 1928 at Mallory,
WV, a son of the late Arthur B. and Essie G. Elkins Miller, Sr. He was also
preceded in death by a son Gary Marshall in 1988, three brothers Glenn Gene,
Jerry Lee and Arthur Miller, Jr.; two sisters Betty Lou (Helmuth) and Shirley Ann
(Christian) and his father-in-law Marshall Hayes Perry. Jackie was the beloved
husband of Betty Jo Perry Miller for 60 years; devoted father of Kathy (Charlie)
Smith, Jackie Ray (Barbara), Patricia, Bobby J. (Peggy), Sheila Bonds, Ina
(Bobby) Katzenbach, Danny Lee, and the late Gary Marshall; dear brother of
Harold (Connie), Larry (Kathy), David (Cathy), Linda (Harry), and the late Glenn
Gene, Jerry Lee, Arthur Jr., Betty Lou (Helmuth), and Shirley Ann (Christian);
son-in-law of Rosie Perry; Loving Grandfather to Greg, Katrina, Amy, Chrystal,

Baptist Church, Campus, WV. Friends may gather from 11:00 AM until service
time at the church. Jackie will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens,
