Bobby Dale Carothers, 46, of Kopperston, WV went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday
January 4, 2011 in CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV. He was born October 5,
1964 in Mullens, WV a son of Bob Eugene and Lillie Gladys Lester Carothers. Bobby
attended the Bible Baptist Church, worked for Big Justice Construction and was a member
of IBEW Local Union number 317. He loved the outdoors, being with family, friends and
listening to Bluegrass Gospel music. Bobby was a 1983 graduate of Pineville High School.
He was preceded in death by a son Bobby Dale Carothers II and a sister Dreama
Carothers. Those left to enjoy his memory are his parents Bob and Gladys Carothers of
Keyrock; his loving wife of 26 years Martha Carothers; two sons still at home Alston and
Alex, his eldest son Ryan Carothers and wife Chandra of McGraws; a very special
grandson Zane Carothers of McGraws; sisters Ruth O’Neal of Turkey Creek, Linda Cable
of Keyrock and Jeannie Cook and husband Tommy of Jesse; and a host of other loving
family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday January 9, 2011 at
the Bible Baptist Church on Kopperston Road with Pastor Earl Brewer and Rev. Herman
Cook officiating. Bobby will be laid to rest in the Kopperston Community cemetery.
Friends may gather with the family from 1:00 PM until service time on Sunday at the church.
Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral
Home, Lynco, WV.

Jimmy Lee Craft, 73, of Clear Fork, WV passed away on Wednesday December 15, 2010 at his
home. He was born August 7, 1937 in Christian, WV, a son of the late Robert Lee and Zola Opal
Trent Craft. Jimmy was a US Army Veteran, a Wyoming County Deputy Sheriff for 18 years and a
member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He loved sitting on the porch, visiting with family and
friends, camping and watching NASCAR races. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death
by his loving wife Martha Anna Hatfield Craft; a son Tennis Hatfield; an infant daughter Betty Carol
Craft; brothers Donald, Freddy and Robert; sisters Shelby Jean Craft and Brenda Craft Walters;
and step mother Fannie Short Craft. Survivors include a daughter Lisa (William Ray) Conley of
Denver, NC; four sons Tommy Osborne of Oceana, Rodney (Lawonne) Hatfield, Jimmy “Duke”
Craft, Jr. all of Clear Fork, and George William (Teresa) Craft of Lynco, WV; four sisters, Connie
Jordan, Opal Hatfield, Patty Green and Judy Mason; two brothers John Craft and Richard “Mick”
Belcher; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and
friends. Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday December 20, 2010 in the Chapel of
Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Timmy Brewster officiating. Jimmy will be
laid to rest beside his wife in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Military rites will be
conducted by the Wyoming County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may gather with the family from
6 – 9:00 PM on Sunday December 19, 2010 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be members of the
Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home,
Lynco, WV.

Onnie Junior Hatfield, 55, of Fanrock, WV, passed away on Wednesday December 15, 2010 at
his home. He was born January 20, 1955 in Pineville, WV a son of the late Raymond and Octavia
Hanshaw Hatfield. He was a retired saw mill worker. Survivors include his wife Lois Hatfield; ex-wife
Sharon Hatfield of Logan; a daughter Laura Hatfield of Logan; a step son Jamie Lester of Mullens;
five brothers Eddie Hatfield and Richard Hatfield both of Fanrock, Robert Hatfield and wife Brenda
of Pineville, Earl Hatfield and wife Sue of Grantsville and Larry Hatfield of Michigan; four sisters
Shirley Browning and husband Bernie of Fanrock, Peggy Sharp and husband Robert and Linda
Gail and husband Creston all of Braxton and Betty Brown of Fayetteville. 24 nieces and nephews; 17
great nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends. In keeping with his wishes
he will be cremated. Burial of the cremains between his mother and father will be in the Hatfield
cemetery on Road Branch hollow near Coal Mountain, WV, will be at a later date. The family is being served by the
Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Fonnis Eugene Toler, 55, of Palestine, WV, formerly of Gilbert, WV, passed away on Saturday
December 11, 2010 in Camden – Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, WV. He was born June 4,
1955 in Logan, WV, the first son of Eugene and Zola Robinson Toler. Fonz attended the Riverview
Freewill Baptist Church in Slabtown, near Tamcliff, WV. He cherished his family, was an avid
hunter, loved his animals especially horses, his music playing and singing with groups or family.
His most enjoyment in life was being with his family and friends. Wherever he would go he always
had or made many friends. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him. Fonz was always ready
to help in any way that he could, when he was needed. He had a heart of gold, we’ll never forget.
He was a disabled coal Miner last working for Red Ash Coal Co. in Ikes Fork, WV, was a previous
owner of T & T Discount Carpet in Elizabeth, WV. He was preceded in death by an infant son
Michael Anthony Toler, an infant granddaughter Southerlyn Mychelle Toler, grandparents Nancy
and Cecil Robinson and Betty and Garland Toler. Survivors include his ex-wife and best friend
Teresa Toler of Palestine; four sons Mark “Punk” Toler and fiancée Candice of Palestine, Clarence
Edward “Munk” Toler of Palestine, Shawn David Toler and fiancee Patty of Hanover, Fonnis Shane
Toler and fiancée Tiffany of Hanover; five sisters Earnestine (Rev. Jimmy Joe) Grimmett of Verner,
Wanda (Sammy) Mendez of Lynco, Mary Ann Wiley of Gilbert, Doris Mae Toler of Palestine,
Teresa (Terry) Cline of Baisden; six brothers Darrell (Glenda) Toler of Baisden, Jackie Dale
(Melissa) Toler of Elk Lick, Terry Lee (Ruby) Toler of Gilbert, Gary Wayne (Tammy) Toler of North
Springs, Denny (Michelle) Toler of Baisden and Teddy (Tonya) Morgan of Hanover; 12
grandchildren Casey, Braxton, Amber, Corey, Luke, Sean, Nettie, Trenton, Dylan, Kolton, Austin,
and Jewleea; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at noon on
Wednesday December 15, 2010 at Riverview Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Cale
officiating. Fonz will be laid to rest in Garden of Memories, Crouches Farm, WV. Friends may call
after 6:00 PM on Tuesday December 14, 2010 at the Riverview Freewill Baptist Church, in
Slabtown near Tamcliff, WV. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home,
Lynco, WV.

Calvin Coolidge Martin, 85, of Crouches Farm, WV passed away on Saturday
December 11, 2010 in Princeton Community Hospital. He was born February 12,
1925 in Alderson, WV a son of the late Bruce and Sally Bryant Martin. He was
also preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years Ocie Mae Morrell Martin and
a granddaughter Syrilda Elise Cook; three brothers Fred, Homer and Otto; and a
sister Lucille Brown. He was a World War II Army Veteran, having received the
Purple Heart and several other medals. He worked for 28 years in the coal mines
before retiring and was a member of the Lillyhaven Baptist Church. He is survived
by daughters Carolyn Kay Jamkhandi and husband Sudhkar “Jammy” of
Princeton, WV, a daughter Drema Gale Cook and husband Roger of Crouches
Farm; a granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth Cook who he always refered to as Pa Pa’
s Baby; brothers Russell and Huston; sister Virginia Horney; Calvin’s caregivers
was his daughters and their families, also helping at home was Cindy Rae Conley
Cook and in Princeton Shirley Harless and Sherry Carter; and a host of other
loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday
December 13, 2010 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco,
WV with Rev. Algie Cook officiating. Calvin will be laid to rest in the Cook
cemetery, behind Eddies Deans, Oceana, WV. Military Rites will be conducted
by the Wyoming County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may gather with the
family from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. The family is
being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Charles Eugene Adkins, 46, of Hernshaw, WV formerly of Fanrock, WV passed away on
Friday December 3, 2010 at his home. He was born March 5, 1964 in Welch, WV a son of
Artimus “Tink” Adkins and Glenna Evelyn Bellew Adkins. He was a 1982 graduate of
Baileysville High School, a lab manager for Dow Chemicals and a former lab manager at
Marfork Coal Company. His grandparents Virgil and Gladys Adkins of Fanrock, WV,
preceded him in death. Survivors include a son Christopher Kyle Adkins of Indian Creek,
WV; his parents Artimus “Tink” and Glenna Evelyn Bellew Adkins of Fanrock, WV; two
sisters Regina McNew and husband Melvin of Westfield, NC and Tracey Walters and
husband Willie of Fanrock, WV; his grandmother Vivian Morgan of New Richmond, WV; a
niece Emily Addair; two nephews Timothy and Anthony McNew; and a host of other loving
family and friends. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held at noon on
Friday December 10, 2010 at the Trace Fork cemetery, Fanrock, WV with Pastor Ernest
Francis officiating. Charles will be laid to rest in the Trace Fork cemetery, Fanrock, WV. E-

Virginia Mae Rotenberry Elgin, 89,of Mullens, WV, formerly of Oceana, WV peacefully
went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday November 21, 2010 in Heartland of
Beckley. She was born June 1, 1921, in Bristol, TN, the daughter of the late JP and Nannie
Jones. She was an LPN nurse at Oceana Medical Center until retiring in 1984. In addition
to her parents she was preceded in death by her two husbands Dennis F. Rotenberry, Sr.
and Alvin A. Varney Elgin. Survivors include two sons Dennis F. Rotenberry, Jr. and wife
Jean of Belcamp, MD and Michael J. Rotenberry and wife Debra of Mullens, WV; three
grandsons Chris, Jason and Brandon Rotenberry; and other family and friends. Services
will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday November 24, 2010 in the Mausoleum Chapel of
Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV with Rev. Ricky Proffitt officiating. She will be laid
to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until
service time at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Alzheimers
Research. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of Heartland of Beckley
for their wonderful care of Virginia. The family is being served by the Stafford Family
Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Corlee Hall, 69, of Hensley Hollow, WV passed away surrounded by her loving family at
her home on Friday November 12, 2010. She was born March 13, 1941 in Avondale, WV a
daughter of the late Ira and Marie Mullins Blankenship. She was a homemaker and loving
wife and mother. She was of the baptist faith and an active volunteer of Five Loaves and
Two Fishes Food Bank. In addition to her parents her husband of 42 years Herman Hall
preceded her in death along with two brothers Mack and Butch Hall and a great
granddaughter Sabrina Thomas. Survivors include a son Brandon Hall and daughter
Margie Hall both of the home, daughters Linda Thomas of Bedford, VA, Brenda Mullins of
Hensley, and Barbara Gibson of Sandy Huff; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren;
two brothers Benny England and Donald England both of Hensley; two sisters Shirley
Willard of Big Sandy and Patricia Shook of Franklin, NC; a dear special friend Margie
Falvo; a special friend of the family Sara Powers; her special dog Gizmo; and a host of
other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday November
15, 2010 in the Myrtle Valley Baptist Church, Hensley Hollow, with Rev. Bubby Flavo
officiating. Corlee will be laid to rest in the Upper England cemetery, Hensley Hollow, WV.
Friends may call from noon until service time at the church. The family is being served by the Stafford
Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Charles Augustus Cline, Jr., 53, of Pineville, WV passed away on Thursday November
11, 2010 at his home. He was born July 4, 1957 in Williamson, WV a son of Charles A.
Cline, Sr. of Richmond, VA and the late Pauline Maynard Cline. He was a disabled coal
miner having last worked at the Still Run Coal Mine. In addition to his mother, a daughter
Patricia Ann Cline and a sister Susan Ackelson also preceded him in death. Survivors
include two sons Brian Cline and Harley Augustus Cline both of Pineville, WV; four sisters
Lawonne Hatfield and husband Rodney of Little Creek, Cathy Cook and husband Paul of
Pineville, Donna Acord and husband Steven of Holly Hills, and Paula Mullins and husband
Johnny of Riverside Rest; a brother Michael Cline and wife Darlene of Brenton; his
companion Carrie; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be
held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday November 16, 2010 in the Chapel of Stafford Family
Funeral Home, Lynco, WV, with Rev. Raybon Cook officiating. He will be laid to rest
beside his mother in the Kopperston Community cemetery. Friends may gather with
the family from 6 - 9:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family and
friends.

James Anderson Blackburn, 69, of Clear Fork, WV passed away on Thursday
November 11, 2010 in Raleigh General Hospital. He was born October 16, 1941, in Iaeger,
WV a son of the late Perry and Virginia Marie Bledsoe Blackburn. He was a retired coal
miner and a member of the Laurel Branch Church of God. His brother Larry “Pete”
Blackburn and sister Faye Schrader also preceded him in death. Survivors include his
loving wife Judy Ann Lester Blackburn; two sons James Ballard Blackburn and Derrick
Dwayne Blackburn both of Kopperston; two daughters Teresa Ward of Ben Creek and
Zelda Sue Hall Walls of Oceana; a granddaughter Hope Nicole Hall; four grandsons
Johnathon Henry, Christopher Henry, Ryan Hall and Kevin Hall; two sisters Uni Stepp of
Oceana and Imogene (Moody) Toler of Sunhill; five brothers Perry Blackburn, Jr. of NC,
Clarence Marvin (Lucille) Blackburn of Long Branch, Gary Randolph Blackburn of Sunhill,
Darrell Blackburn of Oceana and Ed Blackburn of Clear Fork; and a host of other loving
family and friends. Funeral services will be held at noon on Sunday November 14, 2010 at
the Laurel Branch Church of God with Pastor Jerry McCoy officiating. James will be laid
to rest in the Cook cemetery, Oceana, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 6 – 9:
