Jeremy Lee Gibson, 34, of Oceana, WV, went to be with the Lord on Friday October 29,
2010 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born July 31, 1976 in
Man, WV, a son of Herbert and Betty Duffy Gibson of Kopperston, WV. He was a 1995
graduate of Oceana High School and a coal miner having worked for Massey’s Powelton
Mine at Round Bottom where his buddies knew him as Hillbillie. His daughter Tressie Fox
Gibson and grandparents Rev. Aldie Gibson and Owen and Elsie Duffy preceded him in
death. In addition to his parents, survivors also include his loving wife of ten years Kellie
Michelle Hatfield Gibson; two daughters Kaylie and Kimberly; two sons Tyler and Jacob;
grandmother Annie Gibson of Cyclone; two brothers Timmy Gibson of Turkey Dip and
Herbert Gibson, Jr. and wife Dawn of Matheny; father and mother- in-law Rodney and
Lawonne Hatfield of Little Creek; four very special nephews Johnny, Brett, Brandon and
Ryan; two very special nieces Kara and Emily; a very special little girl who he is raising
Brandie; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00
PM Thursday November 4, 2010 at the Matheny Church of God with Pastor Tommy
Perry officiating. Jeremy will be laid to rest in the Hatfield cemetery, Little Creek, WV.
Friends may gather with the family after 6:00 PM on Wednesday November 3, 2010. The family is being
served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Taylor Braxton Cook, 14 Days, of Oceana, WV went to play in God’s playground on
Thursday October 28, 2010 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV. He was born
October 14, 2010 in Huntington, WV a son of John Edgar and Ashley LeAnn Marsh Cook
of Oceana, WV. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Tommy Marsh; an
uncle Jeff Cook and an aunt Karen Cook. Survivors also include his siblings John Michael
Cook, Jordan Maynor, Haley Maynor and his twin brother Tommy Cook; grandparents
Eugene and Juanita Cook of Fairdale, WV and Anna Marsh of Lynco, WV; aunts and
uncles Tony (Julia) Marsh of Hamlin, WV, Angela (Everett) Frazier of Lynco, WV, Kelly
(Chris) Roach of Basset, VA and James (Anita) Cook of Oceana, WV; cousins Alexandria
Frazier, Garrett Marsh, Brianna Marsh, Derrick Marsh, Jared Cook, Sierra Roach and
Bryce Roach; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at
noon on Monday November 1, 2010 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco,
WV. Taylor will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may
gather with the family from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. The family is being served
by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Sandra Lynn Coleman England, 44, of Oceana, WV, left this world for her heavenly
home on Sunday October 24, 2010 at her home. She was born July 23, 1966 in
Cleveland, OH, a daughter of the late Harlen and Dorthy Day Coleman. She was a
1985 graduate of Oceana High School. Her brother Randy Coleman also preceded her
in death. Survivors include a daughter Amy England; three sons Jason, Jeremy and
Johnathan England; a brother Steve (Nida) Coleman; a sister Janette Varney; and a
host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday
October 29, 2010 at the Oceana Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Jackie Grimmett
officiating. She will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends
may gather with the family from 6 – 9:00 PM Thursday October 28, 2010 at the church.

Paul Prillaman Holland, 80, of Oceana, WV passed away on Saturday October 23,
2010 in the Bryan Center Nursing Facility, Fincastle, VA. He was born June 26, 1930 in
Beckley, WV a son of the late John and Herdie Watson Holland. He was a member of the
Sunhill Old Country Church, UMWA and a retired coal miner. His wife Jeraldine also
preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday
October 27, 2010 at the Old Country Church, Sunhill, WV, with Rev. Jay Blankenship
officiating. Paul will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley, WV. Friends may
gather with the family from 6 - 9:00 PM on Tuesday October 26, 2010 at the church.

Pauline Maynard Cline, 73, of Pineville, WV, went to be with the Lord on Saturday
October 16, 2010 after her battle with cancer. She was born on October 22, 1936 in
Lovely, KY a daughter of the late Russel and Ollie Maynard. She was also preceded in
death by her daughter Susan Ackelson. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She is
survived by two sons Charles A. Cline J.R. and girlfriend Carrie of Pineville, WV and
Michael Cline and wife Darlene of Brenton, WV; four daughters Lawonne Hatfield and
husband Rodney of Clear Fork, WV, Cathy Cook and husband Paul of Pineville, WV
Donna Acord and husband Steve of Holly Hills, WV and Paula Mullins and husband
Johnny of Riverside Rest, WV; her thirteen grandchildren Tonya, Brian, Mindy, David,
Kevin, Kellie, Tabatha, Randy, Jason, Krystal, Amy, Anthony, and Harley; twenty- two great
grandchildren; Very special sisters and brothers Margie, Louise, Bonnie, Debbie, Buddy,
Johnny, and Darrell; the father of her children Charles Cline, Sr. of Richmond, VA; nieces,
nephews and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00
PM on Thursday October 21, 2010 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home,
Lynco, WV, with Rev. Raybon Cook officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her daughter
in Kopperston Community cemetery. Friends may gather with the family from 6 – 9:00

Earnel Jay “E.J.” Morgan, 70, of Lynco, passed on to a new life, peacefully in his
home on Saturday October 16, 2010. E.J. was born September 27, 1940, in Welch, WV, he
was the son of the late Earnel Morgan and Jesse Beamer. He was preceded in death by
his parents and his grandparents who raised him, Maloney and Arminta Morgan of Elk Lick,
WV. He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 51 years Faye Morgan; daughters,
Deborah Belcher and husband Richard of Chapmanville; Terri Everhart and husband Jim of
Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Wendy Smith and husband George of Clear Fork; Tonya
Nolan and husband Rick of Chattanooga, TN; and a son Earnel Jay Morgan III and wife
Lisa of Clear Fork; three loving grandchildren, Tiffany Shaver, Jason Morgan, and Maria
Morgan; a sister, Betty Jo Japikse and husband Bert of Alexandria, Virginia; a brother
Ronnie Morgan and wife Carole of Troy, Michigan. EJ lived his life in service to his family
and to God. He worked as a coal miner in a variety of positions and companies for 30
years. The passion of his life was preaching God’s Word. His ministry spread over 38 years
and touched thousands of lives in eleven states through his church revivals and Gospel
Tent Ministry. He also hosted a daily radio program, was the co-founder of Soul’s Harbor
Christian Academy and helped found four churches. A celebration service of E.J’s life will
be held at 7:00pm on Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at New Life Church in Jesse WV. The
family will receive friends and extended family from 6 to 7 p.m. A committal service will be
held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at Palm Memorial Gardens in
Matheny WV. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the wonderful Hospice of
Southern WV, (304-255-6404) in memory of E.J Morgan. E-mail letters of sympathy may be

Craig Steven “Craigo” Blankenship, 49, of Clear Fork, WV passed away on Friday
October 8, 2010 at the Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV. He was born March 7, 1961,
in Welch, WV, a son of W.C. and Erma Altizer Blankenship of Clear Fork, WV. Craigo was
a disabled coal truck driver. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Lacy
and Gladys Altizer and his paternal grandparents C.W. and Lottie Blankenship. In addition
to his parents, Craig is survived by three sons Ryan Polk Blankenship, Steven Eric
Blankenship and Adam Cole Blankenship; a granddaughter, the love of his life, Madison; a
grandson Christian; two sisters Pamela Weaver and husband Stephen and Valerie Miller
and husband Denny; nieces and nephews Rachel, Andrew, Trevor and Megan; and a host
of other loving family and friends. In keeping with Craig’s wishes, he will be cremated.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday October 11, 2010 in the Chapel of
Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 11:
30 AM until service time at the funeral home on Monday. The family has requested that in
lieu of flowers, donations be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Dr., Beckley,
WV 25801.

Leo Fraley, 55, of Oceana, WV, passed away on Monday October 4, 2010 at Raleigh General Hospital,
Beckley, WV following a long battle with lung cancer. He was born March 21, 1955 in Oceana, WV, a son
of Maybeth Daniels Fraley of Oceana, and the late Jerry Fraley. Leo worked 25 years for Eastern
Associated Coal, Peabody Coal Company, and for Raleigh General Hospital, Welch Emergency
Hospital and Integrated Resources. He was a member of the UMWA, Local 7604 and attended the
Crany Missionary Baptist Church and the Oceana House of Prayer. His step-son Gary “Pooh” Jude also
preceded him in death. He was the owner of Crany Creek Produce in Oceana. Survivors include his
loving wife Donna Fraley; a daughter Tonya Smith and husband ED of Charleston, WV; a step-daughter
Kelli Hite and husband Eric of Oceana; two step grandchildren McKenzie and Logan Hite; two sisters
Regina Cook and husband Bill of Oceana and Laveda Beverly and husband Eddie of Premier, WV; a
brother Westley “Wes” Fraley and wife Judy of Clear Fork; special friends Glen Laxton, Tony
Frankhouser, Mike Lovins and others; his beloved four pups JoJo, Button, Cotton and Sage, three porch
cats and Callie; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on
Thursday October7, 2010 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, with Pastor James
Walker and Rev. Butch White officiating. Leo will be laid to rest in the Hatfield cemetery, Little Creek,
WV. Friends may gather with the family from 6 – 9:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be nephews Chris and Brad Fraley, Charles and Lesley Cook, Tony Frankhouser and Ed
Smith. The family is being

Luther “Luke” Eugene Watts, 32, of Glover, WV, went to Heaven on Friday February
11, 2011 at his home. He was born September 7, 1978 in Mullens WV, a son of Luther
McCracken and Phyllis Cook-Watts. Preceding him in death were his grandparents Robert
Y. and Mary M. Cook and James and Noche Faye McCracken; an aunt Terry L. Cook and
a cousin Rayna Rowe. Survivors include his loving mother Phyllis Cook; two brothers
Micheal Watts and Joshua Watts; two sisters Mary Fortner and husband Malcolm L. and
Dana Dalton and husband Bobby Ray; step grandmother Marion McCracken of Brenton,
WV; aunts Claudine Smith and husband Greg of Pilot Mt., NC, Rosemarie Hatfield and
husband Carlos of King, NC; uncles Everette McCracken and wife Peggy of Brenton, WV,
James M. McCracken and wife Novella of Pineville, WV. Luke was loved and treasured by
his cousins Shawn Beverly, Greg, Mike, Katie and Emmy Smith, Robbie, Tracy and
Whitney, Sheila, Matt, and Carla Hatfield; best buddy Marshall Reed and many nieces and
nephews and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00
PM Friday February18, 2011 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco,
with Rev. Melissa White officiating. He will be laid to rest in Cooper cemetery, Skin Fork,
WV. Friends may gather with the family from noon until service time at the funeral home
on Friday.

Myrna “Tiny” Acord Walker, 61, of Oceana, WV went home to be with her Lord on
Monday February 14, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July
8, 1949 in Clear Fork, WV, a daughter of the late Robert and Myrtle Lillian Hager Acord.
Survivors include her loving husband Douglas Franklin Walker; two sons Douglas Franklin
Walker Jr. and wife Ruth and Christopher Dean Walker and wife Melissa all of Oceana,
WV; four grandchildren Amanda R. Walker of Oceana, WV, Douglas L. Walker of Valdez,
NC, Candy Renee Walker of Oceana, WV and Chris “CJ” Walker of Oceana, WV; one
great grandchild Sarina L. Walker of Valdez, NC; six sisters Sylvia Ann Bragg and husband
Danford of Crany, WV, Betty Jo Goodwin and husband Joe of Kopperston, WV, Nancy
Carol Paynter and husband Benjamin of Kopperston, WV, Virginia Bradley and husband
Ronnie of Denver, NC, Stollie Allen and husband Harry of Beckley, WV and Mary Ellen
Lundy and husband Ken of Daniels, WV; one brother Robert Acord of Ohio and a host of
other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday
February 17, 2011 at Joseph Baptist Church, Lynco, WV with Pastor William Cook
officiating. She will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may
call from 6 – 9:00 PM on Wednesday February 16, 2011 at the church. The family is being served
by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
