Waveline Lusk, 75, of Cyclone, WV, passed away on Sunday March 20, 2011 in Logan
Regional Medical Center. She was born February 16, 1936, a daughter of the late Fred
and Pearl Bailey Gunnoe. She was a member of Cyclone Church of God where she
attended most of her life. She was a loving mother and wife. She was a dedicated Christian
and faithful friend. Also preceding her in death were three children Karen Cook, Ellery Lusk
and Teddy Ray Lusk; two grandchildren Ronnie Joe Boothe II and Sherry Lusk. Survivors
include her loving husband of 57 years Posey Lusk; five children Teddy Gunnoe and his
wife Kathy, Frances Stewart, and Sharon Harrison all of Cyclone, Berman Lusk and his
wife Lou of Oceana, and Tony Lusk and his wife Kathy of Ritchie County; nineteen
grandchildren Curtis Gunnoe, Amanda Blankenship, Renea Chapman, Jessica Lusk, Roger
Stobart, Casey Trainer, Sabrina Lusk, Larry Lusk, Donald Lusk, Steven Lusk, Lora Acord,
Cassandra Gray, James Harrison, Jr., Jason Coburn, Stephanie Murphy, Maranda Cook,
Mitchell Cook, Ronnie Lusk and Marina Lusk; twenty eight great grandchildren and
nineteen brothers and sisters and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held
at 1:00 PM Saturday March 26, 2011 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home,
Lynco, with Rev. Emma White officiating. She will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial

Tina Lynn Watts Cox, 35 of Lynco, WV passed away Wednesday March 23, 2011 at her
home. She was born March 25, 1975 in Man, WV, a daughter of Jimmy and Wanda Clarice
Lusk Watts. Preceding her in death her paternal grandfather Harvey Watts and maternal
grandfather Shelley Lusk. Survivors include her husband of 10 years Steven E. Cox, Jr.,
two beautiful children Jade and Trey Cox; three brothers Jimmy Scott Watts and his wife
Linda, Jamie Lee Watts and his wife Tammy and Brandon Toler and his girlfriend
Chassadee all of Cyclone, WV; two nephews Dalton and Nicholas Watts and one niece Tori
Watts; two grandmothers Magdalene Watts and Brookie Lusk of Cyclone, WV and a host of

Ivan Eugene “Buck” Ellis, 76, of Oceana, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Monday
March 28, 2011 from Wyoming Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, New Richmond, WV. He
was born May 12, 1934 in Gilbert, WV, a son of the late Lloyd and Bertha Snodgrass Ellis.
He was a US Air Force Veteran and attended the Oceana Freewill Baptist Church. He was
also preceded in death by a brother Donald Ellis. Survivors include his loving wife of 34
years Dianna Lynn Toler Ellis; two daughters Patricia Eubank and husband Mike and
Jennifer Stewart and husband Scott all of Ocala, FL.; one son Ivan Eugene Ellis, Jr. and
wife Jan of Dunnellon, FL; two sisters Billie Hatfield of Gilbert, WV and Sue Crawford of
Florida; four brothers Harry Ray Ellis and wife Marie of Gilbert, WV, John D. Ellis and wife
Geraldine of Omar, WV, Clayton Ellis of Florida and Robert Ellis and wife Geraldine of
Bunker Hill, WV; five grandchildren Courtney Eubanks, Anthony Ellis, Derrick Lynville, Hallie
Lynville and Christopher Lynville; two great grandchildren Cory Lynville and Tyler Lynville;

Norman Edward Lawrence, 49, of Yanceyville, NC, formerly of Amherstdale, WV,
departed this life on Wednesday March 30, 2011 at his home. He was born January 30,
1962 in Logan, WV, a son of Zona Marie Evans Lawrence and the late Fredrick Melvin.
Survivors include his mother Zona Marie Evans Lawrence of Elon, NC; two sons Richard E.
Lawrence and Kevin Lawrence and wife Amber all of Green Valley, WV; a daughter Teara
Lawrence of Green Valley, WV; two grandchildren Bryson Lawrence and Zach Adkins; five

Bessie P. Blankenship, 64, of Lynco, WV passed away on Sunday April 3, 2011 at her
home. She was born November 19, 1946 in Clear Fork, WV a daughter of the late Dillard
and Elizabeth Jane “Eliza” Blankenship Banther. She was of the Pentecostal faith and a
loving mother. Her two brothers Jerry and Bill Smith also preceded her in death. Those left
to cherish her memories are husband Steven E. Tilley; a daughter Tonda R. Hatfield of
Beckley, WV; a son Michael Brown and wife Tena of Oceana, WV; two grandchildren
Tanisha Danielle Frazier and Johnse Ray Hatfield; two step grandchildren Natasha

Jeffery Ray Toler, 51, of Lynco, WV passed away on Tuesday April 5, 2011 at his home.
He was born March 17, 1960 in Simon, WV, a son of Joyce Morgan Toler and the late
David Milton Toler. He was a volunteer of the Huff Creek Rescue Squad. Also preceding
him in death by a sister Rhonda Kay “Susie” Toler Jackson; grandparents Lee Morgan,
Joyce Blankenship, Garland and Martha Betty Toler; niece Tanisha Browning Conn;
nephew Bailey Braiden Toler. Survivors include a daughter Rhonda Darline Toler of
Lincoln, AL; a son Gavin Ray Toler of Kopperston, WV and a son David; two sisters Donita
Toler of Oceana, WV and Maretta Higley and husband Joel of Lynco, WV; three brothers

Mary Ilene Lester, 81 of Oceana, WV went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday
April 8, 2011 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV. She was born December 20, 1929
in Guyan, WV, a daughter of the late Oley and Ruby Morgan Hatfield. She attended the
Oceana Freewill Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Also
preceding her in death were two brothers James Oley “Simon” Hatfield and Weldon
Hatfield; one sister Elouise Hatfield. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving
husband of sixty-one years Buford Lester ; children Glen Lester , Buddy Lester and wife

David Ray Blankenship, 51, of Kopperston, WV went home to be with the Lord on April
12, 2011 following a long illness. He was born April 29, 1959 at Pineville, WV a son of
Edwin and Hazel Marie Graham Blankenship. David was preceded in death by his
grandparents Wayne and Tressie Graham and Albert and Rosie Blankenship; his father
Edwin Blankenship; two brothers Clifford and Franklin “Bill” Blankenship and a sister
Deborah Ann Blankenship. David was a member of the Apostolic Faith Tabernacle Church
in Lillydale. He was a coal miner with Darn Coal for 16 years and Eddie Cline for four years.
After retiring he enjoyed being in the garden, fishing, spending time with family and friends.
David was an avid Jeff Gordon NASCAR fan. Those left to cherish his memories include his
loving mother Hazel Marie Graham Blankenship of Kopperston; a daughter Tabitha
Johnson of Oceana; brothers Danny (Sandy) Blankenship and Michael Blankenship and
companion Angie all of Oceana, Leroy (Sarah) Blankenship of Clear Fork; a sister Edwinna
(Andrew) Lester of Hanover; two granddaughters Brooke Dameron of Beaver and Miranda

Peggy Lambert Faulkner, 77, of Itmann, WV, passed away on Saturday April 16, 2011 at Wyoming
Continuous Care, New Richmond, WV. She was born March 5, 1934 in Welch, WV, a daughter of the late
Garrett and Cora Sizemore Lambert, Sr. Peggy was a homemaker and a member of the Black Eagle
Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by a son Jimmy Dale Faulkner, father and
mother in law Luther and Laura Webb Faulkner, great grandson Brayden Lester, two sisters Margaret
Boothe and Kathy Harper and a brother Johnny Lambert. Survivors include her loving husband William
“Bill” Faulkner; two daughters Bonnie (Carl) Lester of Cabin Creek, WV and Connie (Roger) Lester of
New Richmond, WV; two sons William David (Linda) Faulkner and Donald Ray Faulkner and companion
Patty Barnes all of New Richmond, WV; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two brothers
