Onnie Junior Hatfield, 55, of Fanrock, WV, passed away on Wednesday December 15, 2010 at his
home. He was born January 20, 1955 in Pineville, WV a son of the late Raymond and Octavia Hanshaw
Hatfield. He was a retired saw mill worker. Survivors include his wife Lois Hatfield; ex-wife Sharon Hatfield
of Logan; a daughter Laura Hatfield of Logan; a step son Jamie Lester of Mullens; five brothers Eddie
Hatfield and Richard Hatfield both of Fanrock, Robert Hatfield and wife Brenda of Pineville, Earl Hatfield
and wife Sue of Grantsville and Larry Hatfield of Michigan; four sisters Shirley Browning and husband
Bernie of Fanrock, Peggy Sharp and husband Robert and Linda Gail and husband Creston all of Braxton
and Betty Brown of Fayetteville. 24 nieces and nephews; 17 great nieces and nephews; and a host of
other loving family and friends. In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated. Burial of the cremains
between his mother and father will be in the Hatfield cemetery on Road Branch hollow near Coal
Mountain, WV, will be at a later date. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home,
Lynco, WV.

Fonnis Eugene Toler, 55, of Palestine, WV, formerly of Gilbert, WV, passed away on Saturday
December 11, 2010 in Camden – Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, WV. He was born June 4, 1955
in Logan, WV, the first son of Eugene and Zola Robinson Toler. Fonz attended the Riverview Freewill
Baptist Church in Slabtown, near Tamcliff, WV. He cherished his family, was an avid hunter, loved his
animals especially horses, his music playing and singing with groups or family. His most enjoyment in life
was being with his family and friends. Wherever he would go he always had or made many friends. He
will be deeply missed by all who loved him. Fonz was always ready to help in any way that he could, when
he was needed. He had a heart of gold, we’ll never forget. He was a disabled coal Miner last working for
Red Ash Coal Co. in Ikes Fork, WV, was a previous owner of T & T Discount Carpet in Elizabeth, WV.
He was preceded in death by an infant son Michael Anthony Toler, an infant granddaughter Southerlyn
Mychelle Toler, grandparents Nancy and Cecil Robinson and Betty and Garland Toler. Survivors include
his ex-wife and best friend Teresa Toler of Palestine; four sons Mark “Punk” Toler and fiancée Candice of
Palestine, Clarence Edward “Munk” Toler of Palestine, Shawn David Toler and fiancee Patty of Hanover,
Fonnis Shane Toler and fiancée Tiffany of Hanover; five sisters Earnestine (Rev. Jimmy Joe) Grimmett of
Verner, Wanda (Sammy) Mendez of Lynco, Mary Ann Wiley of Gilbert, Doris Mae Toler of Palestine,
Teresa (Terry) Cline of Baisden; six brothers Darrell (Glenda) Toler of Baisden, Jackie Dale (Melissa)
Toler of Elk Lick, Terry Lee (Ruby) Toler of Gilbert, Gary Wayne (Tammy) Toler of North Springs, Denny
(Michelle) Toler of Baisden and Teddy (Tonya) Morgan of Hanover; 12 grandchildren Casey, Braxton,
Amber, Corey, Luke, Sean, Nettie, Trenton, Dylan, Kolton, Austin, and Jewleea; and a host of other
loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday December 15, 2010 at
Riverview Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Cale officiating. Fonz will be laid to rest in Garden of
Memories, Crouches Farm, WV. Friends may call after 6:00 PM on Tuesday December 14, 2010 at the
Riverview Freewill Baptist Church, in Slabtown near Tamcliff, WV.
The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Calvin Coolidge Martin, 85, of Crouches Farm, WV passed away on Saturday December 11, 2010 in
Princeton Community Hospital. He was born February 12, 1925 in Alderson, WV a son of the late Bruce
and Sally Bryant Martin. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years Ocie Mae Morrell
Martin and a granddaughter Syrilda Elise Cook; three brothers Fred, Homer and Otto; and a sister Lucille
Brown. He was a World War II Army Veteran, having received the Purple Heart and several other medals.
He worked for 28 years in the coal mines before retiring and was a member of the Lillyhaven Baptist
Church. He is survived by daughters Carolyn Kay Jamkhandi and husband Sudhkar “Jammy” of
Princeton, WV, a daughter Drema Gale Cook and husband Roger of Crouches Farm; a granddaughter
Sarah Elizabeth Cook who he always refered to as Pa Pa’s Baby; brothers Russell and Huston; sister
Virginia Horney; Calvin’s caregivers was his daughters and their families, also helping at home was
Cindy Rae Conley Cook and in Princeton Shirley Harless and Sherry Carter; and a host of other loving
family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday December 13, 2010 in the
Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Algie Cook officiating. Calvin will be laid
to rest in the Cook cemetery, behind Eddies Deans, Oceana, WV. Military Rites will be conducted by the
Wyoming County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may gather with the family from 1:00 PM until service
time at the funeral home.

Charles Eugene Adkins, 46, of Hernshaw, WV formerly of Fanrock, WV passed away on Friday
December 3, 2010 at his home. He was born March 5, 1964 in Welch, WV a son of Artimus “Tink”
Adkins and Glenna Evelyn Bellew Adkins. He was a 1982 graduate of Baileysville High School, a lab
manager for Dow Chemicals and a former lab manager at Marfork Coal Company. His grandparents
Virgil and Gladys Adkins of Fanrock, WV, preceded him in death. Survivors include a son Christopher
Kyle Adkins of Indian Creek, WV; his parents Artimus “Tink” and Glenna Evelyn Bellew Adkins of
Fanrock, WV; two sisters Regina McNew and husband Melvin of Westfield, NC and Tracey Walters and
husband Willie of Fanrock, WV; his grandmother Vivian Morgan of New Richmond, WV; a niece Emily
Addair; two nephews Timothy and Anthony McNew; and a host of other loving family and friends. There
will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held at noon on Friday December 10, 2010 at the Trace
Fork cemetery, Fanrock, WV with Pastor Ernest Francis officiating. Charles will be laid to rest in the
Trace Fork cemetery, Fanrock, WV. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco,
WV.

Luther “Luke” Eugene Watts, 32, of Glover, WV, went to Heaven on Friday February 11, 2011 at his
home. He was born September 7, 1978 in Mullens WV, a son of Luther McCracken and Phyllis Cook-
Watts. Preceding him in death were his grandparents Robert Y. and Mary M. Cook and James and
Noche Faye McCracken; an aunt Terry L. Cook and a cousin Rayna Rowe. Survivors include his loving
mother Phyllis Cook; two brothers Micheal Watts and Joshua Watts; two sisters Mary Fortner and
husband Malcolm L. and Dana Dalton and husband Bobby Ray; step grandmother Marion McCracken of
Brenton, WV; aunts Claudine Smith and husband Greg of Pilot Mt., NC, Rosemarie Hatfield and husband
Carlos of King, NC; uncles Everette McCracken and wife Peggy of Brenton, WV, James M. McCracken
and wife Novella of Pineville, WV. Luke was loved and treasured by his cousins Shawn Beverly, Greg,
Mike, Katie and Emmy Smith, Robbie, Tracy and Whitney, Sheila, Matt, and Carla Hatfield; best buddy
Marshall Reed and many nieces and nephews and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral
services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday February18, 2011 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home,
Lynco, with Rev. Melissa White officiating. He will be laid to rest in Cooper cemetery, Skin Fork, WV.
Friends may gather with the family from noon until service time at the funeral home on Friday.

Myrna “Tiny” Acord Walker, 61, of Oceana, WV went home to be with her Lord on Monday February 14,
2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 8, 1949 in Clear Fork, WV, a
daughter of the late Robert and Myrtle Lillian Hager Acord. Survivors include her loving husband Douglas
Franklin Walker; two sons Douglas Franklin Walker Jr. and wife Ruth and Christopher Dean Walker and
wife Melissa all of Oceana, WV; four grandchildren Amanda R. Walker of Oceana, WV, Douglas L. Walker
of Valdez, NC, Candy Renee Walker of Oceana, WV and Chris “CJ” Walker of Oceana, WV; one great
grandchild Sarina L. Walker of Valdez, NC; six sisters Sylvia Ann Bragg and husband Danford of Crany,
WV, Betty Jo Goodwin and husband Joe of Kopperston, WV, Nancy Carol Paynter and husband Benjamin
of Kopperston, WV, Virginia Bradley and husband Ronnie of Denver, NC, Stollie Allen and husband Harry
of Beckley, WV and Mary Ellen Lundy and husband Ken of Daniels, WV; one brother Robert Acord of Ohio
and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday February
17, 2011 at Joseph Baptist Church, Lynco, WV with Pastor William Cook officiating. She will be laid to rest
in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may call from 6 – 9:00 PM on Wednesday February 16, 2011 at the church. The
family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Jerry Lee Smith, 68, of Clear Fork, WV passed away February 15, 2011 at Cyclone, WV. He was born
August 11, 1942 in WV, the son of the late Jim Smith and the late Elizabeth Jane Blankenship Banther.
He worked for many years for B&L Excavation. Also preceding him in death was a brother Billy Joe
Smith. Survivors include his loving wife Inez Justice Smith; three daughters Terri Parson and husband Ivan
of NC, Angela Morgan and husband Darrell of Clear Fork, WV, Elizabeth McAlpin and husband Bobby of
NC; four sons Gary Wayne Smith and wife Shelly of Cedar Creek, WV, Clint Smith and wife Mary of Brier
Creek, WV, Jerry Lee Smith Jr. and wife Raeann of Cedar Creek, WV and Nicholas Smith and wife
Charlisa of Cedar Creek, WV; sixteen grandchildren Kim Dewayne Wells Jr. Benjamin Keith Wells,
Stephen Wells, Cory Wells, Leigha Sprouse, Gary Wayne Smith Jr., Jessica Lynn Morgan, Brittany Dawn
Toler, Clint Smith Jr., Dustin Garrett Smith, Sarah Lasha Smith, Chelsea Smith, Lyndsey Smith, Ashley
Steele, Brianna Tucker and Abigail McAlpin; seven great-grandchildren Hannah Toler, Markus Toler,
Jacob Spade, Brandy Wells, Kalia Wells, Emily Wells and Alexis Wells; one sister Bessie P. Blankenship
of Lynco, WV; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday
February 19, 2011 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, with Rev. Firg Proffitt
officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Smith Family cemetery, Cedar Creek, WV. Friends may gather
with the family from 10 until time of service at the funeral home.

William Paul Cook, 55, of Pineville, WV, formerly of Beckley, WV went home to be with the Lord on
February 16, 2011 at St. Ann’s Hospital, Westerville, OH. He was born November 10, 1955 in Oceana,
WV, a son of the late Calvin Paul Cook and Dixie Arvella Poe Cook. He was a US Air Force Veteran,
1973 graduate of Oceana High School, life member of the DAV, American Legion and of the Pentecostal
Faith. Also preceding him in death were his first wife Wanda Stacy Cook and two sisters Ruby Darlene
Cook and Delores Kay Cook. Survivors include his loving wife Cathy Cook; two daughters Heather
Jeanne Belcher and husband Danny of Clear Fork, WV, Tabatha Lynn Kenneda and husband Jay of
Pineville, WV; a son Kevin Arlin Hatfield and wife Jessie of Pineville, WV; six grandchildren that he loved
very much Steven Belcher, Danielle Brooke Belcher, Whitney Dawn Hatfield, Deanna Lynn Kenneda,
Christopher Arlin Hatfiled and Hanna “Hannah Bug” Kenneda; two sisters Betty Faye Arrington and
husband Kenneth of Lynco, WV and Geneva Lynn Ingram and husband Jimbo of Mullens, WV; two
brothers Phillip Cook and wife Billy of Welch, WV and Barry Cook and wife Gloria of Texas; and a host of
other loving family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday February 21, 2011 at the
Pentecostal House of Prayer, Lynco, with the Rev. Jerry McCoy officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm
Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Wyoming County
Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may gather with the family after 6:00 PM at the church on

Dovie Elswick Rollins, 66 of Crany, WV, passed away on Tuesday February 22, 2011 at her home. She
was born November 19, 1944 in Lorado, WV, a daughter of the late Theodore and Nealy Osborne
Elswick. Also preceding her in death are four brothers Eugene Elswick, James A “Pug” Elswick , Cyrus
Elswick and Frank Osborne. She was a member of the Oceana Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include
her loving husband Charles Rollins; a daughter Paula Acord and husband Eddie of Kopperston, WV; a
son Charles “Chuck” Rollins Jr. and wife Kathy of Winston Salem, NC; grandchildren Chafin Rollins,
Andrew Rollins and Theodore “Shorty”Acord; two sisters Dorothy Gayhart of Beckley, WV, Corine
Blankenship of Kopperston, WV; two brothers Bob Elswick and wife Mary Ann of Milton, WV, Ralph
Elswick and wife Verna of Huntington, WV; three sister-in-laws Hazel Elswick of Kopperston, WV, Mary
Johnson and husband Bill of Crany, WV and Freda Smith and husband Bud of Crany, WV; two brother-in-
laws Bob Rollins and wife Donna of Crany, WV and Cecil Rollins and wife Donna of Crany, WV; and a
host of other loving family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday February 25,
2011 at the Oceana Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Jackie Grimmett officiating. Dovie will be laid to
rest at Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family at the church from 11
