David Denver Morgan, Sr., 78, of Simon, WV passed away on Thursday January 9, 2014 in Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV. He was born October 27, 1935 in Elk Lick, WV, a son of the late Dotson “Dot” and Martha Toler Morgan. He was a retired Route Salesman for Pepsi Cola and a US Air Force Veteran. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons David D. “Davey” Morgan, Jr. and Darin Morgan and a grandson David Cory Morgan. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years Doris Sue McCarty Morgan; a daughter Belinda (Bub) Salyers of Oceana; three granddaughters Amanda (James) Grimmett of Lynco, Ashley D. Salyers of Coal Mountain and Kalah LaShawn (Glen) Harris of Brier Creek; three great granddaughters Avyanna, Alivia and KaShawna; a sister Edra Gay Perry of Sunhill; a brother Chester (Kathalene) Morgan of Sunhill; three brothers-in-law Bobby McCarty Lexington, NC, Johnny McCarty of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Jimmy (Charlotte) McCarty of Lexington, NC; two best friends Hal Adkins and Glen Harris; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday January 12, 2014 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco with Pastor Jay Morgan and Johnny McCarty officiating. David will be laid to rest in the Morgan Family cemetery, Sunhill, WV. Military rites will be conducted by the Wyoming County Veterans Honor Guard. Zola Mae Robinson Toler, 79, of Tamcliff, WV passed away on Thursday January 23, 2014 at her home. She was born June 22, 1934 in Logan County, WV a daughter of the late Cecil and Nancy Gibson Robinson. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a precious son Fonnis Eugene Toler; two brothers Rev. Gordie Robinson, and Lee Robinson; and three sisters Melva Robinson Cline, Rosa Dean, and Ruby Robinson Stevens. Zola was a former owner of Toler’s Grocery, Toler’s TV Service, and Toler’s Water System in Slabtown. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 ˝ years Eugene Toler, five daughters Earnestine Grimmett and husband Rev. Lou Ellen “Lulu” Lusk, 54, of Kopperston Road, WV passed away on Thursday January 23, 2014 at her home. She was born May 7, 1959 in Grundy, VA a daughter of Olie Stacy Matney of Hurley, VA and the late Garfield Matney. In addition to her father she is preceded in death by her husband Berman Lusk. Survivors include her mother Olie Stacy Matney of Hurley, VA; a niece Robin (Tim) Dotson of Hurley, VA; a nephew Wesley (Barbara) Matney of Panther; Johnny Brown of Baileysville; three brothers Bill (Brenda) Matney, Lawson Matney, and Ricky Matney all of Hurley, VA; and a host of other loving family and friends. Selena Renee Justice, 39, of Mohawk, WV took her flight to be with Jesus and the angels on Friday January 24, 2014 surrounded by her family and friends, leaving out as her mother held her in her arms. She was born March 9, 1974 in Welch, WV. She was the daughter of Linda and Robert “Poppy” Adams of Mohawk and Carter and Charlotte Justice of Pipestem. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Burl and Carona Davis of Mohawk and Olison and Dicy Justice of Hurley, VA. Along with her parents left to cherish her memories is her sister Michelle Mills of Panther; a special brother-in-law Steve Mills of Panther; Sister Amberlee Adams and fiancé Timothy Justice of Panther; four special nieces who she loved so dear Wendy, Jade and Madison Mills and Taylor Lester; two nephews Aidan Justice and Tanner Lester; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved her as their own! She also had a special little friend, her dog Snoopy that she loved and spoiled. Selena was a special child of God, that never knew a stranger. She could light up a room with her smile. She enjoyed singing, dancing, talking to everyone and everyone was her best friend. To know her was to Love her. Arnold E. McMillion, 69, of Alderson, WV, formerly of Glen Fork passed away on Tuesday January 28, 2014 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. He was born October 7, 1944 in Glen Fork, WV, a son of the late Alderson and Allie Bailey McMillion. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by four sisters Ella Mae Brown, Helen Brown and two infants and five brothers Kemper McMillion, Lacy McMillion, Posey McMillion, Dendruff McMillion, and Homer McMillion. Survivors include two daughters Annette (Scott) Rodes of Wayside, and Jennifer Tuckwiller of Shallotte, NC; a son Arnold E. McMillion, Jr. of Alderson; six grandchildren Daniel, Jonathan and Kelly Smith, Sophia Tuckwiller, Jeanie Rawls, and Scott Rawls; and a host of other loving family and friends. Eva Christine Lusk Osborne, 78, of Cyclone, WV entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday January 29, 2014 at Charleston Area Medical Center-General, Charleston, WV. She was born May 12, 1935 a daughter of the late Edward and Ella Lusk. Christine was a lifelong resident of Wyoming County. She was a member of Bright Prospect Missionary Baptist Church and a member of lady’s circle. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years Sester Osborne; three brothers; four sisters; a daughter-in-law; a son-in-law; a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren. Survivors include four sons Edward Ross (Stella) Osborne, Ronald David (Coretta) Osborne, Harvey (Vickie) Osborne all of Cyclone, and Randall (Deloris) Osborne of Beaver; three daughters Ethel (Tommy) Watts, Delma (Gary) Paynter, Tanecia Osborne and companion Michael Adkins all of Cyclone; two sisters Gladis Bailey of Beckley, Lois Powell of Cyclone; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Mildred Faye Johnson Acord, 85, of Oceana, WV gained her wings on Wednesday January 29, 2014 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV. She was born March 21, 1928 in Clear Fork, WV, the oldest daughter of the late Mac Conrad and Lula Bailey Johnson. Mildred was a homemaker, a member of the Ladies Aux. VFW 8364, Wyoming County EXT Homemakers, Oceana Band Boosters, member of the Toneda Missionary Baptist Church, and the Missionary Women’s. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and Aunt. With her gift of gab she never met a stranger. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years Lloyd Clinton Acord; a son Danny Lee Acord; sister Narcissa Hatfield; and brothers James and Darrell Johnson. Hazel Mae Elswick, 83, of Kopperston, WV passed away on Thursday January 30, 2014 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV. She was born October 6, 1930 in Mercer County, WV, a daughter of the late Felix and Edda Mae Sexton. Hazel was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years James Alfred “Pug” Elswick; a son James Allen “Pug” Elswick; and a son-in-law Jimmie Daniels. Survivors include two daughters Patricia (James Ray) Rose of Ghent, and Deborah Daniels of Cyclone; a son Jeffrey “ Little Pug” (Rita) Elswick of Crouches Farm; two brothers Fred Sexton, and Ben Sexton all of North East Maryland; 8 grandchildren Melissa Whetzel, Kim Harper, Jennifer Gunnoe, Laura Lambert, Rebecca Perry, Amy Hollister, Jarried Elswick, and Kyle Elswick; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great great-grandchild Caelyn Sophia Hagerty due in June; and a host of other loving family and friends. Tammy Margaret Stafford, 44, of Salem, VA, formerly of Fanrock, WV passed away on Monday January 27, 2014 at her home. She was born March 15, 1969 in Cleveland, OH, a daughter of the late Harry L. Stafford, Sr. and Adeline “Trudy” Stafford. Tammy worked for Virginia Department of Transportation in Salem, VA. She loved reading quotes and poems, and found lots of beauty in nature. She loved writing in her journals. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Shelia Ann Stafford. Survivors include her three brothers David “Wormy” Stafford and his wife Lynn of Pineville, Cecil Stafford of Fairmont, and Harry L. Stafford, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Clairmont, FL; all her beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and lots of close friends from Virginia. She was very much loved. Colton Reese Combs, left this world to play with the angels in Gods playground, just before he was born on February 3, 2014 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV. Colton is the son of Leanna Marie Cameron and Matthew Combs of Oceana. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Marietta Cameron; grandfather Terry Combs; great grandfather Robert “Bob” Bailey; and an infant aunt Amy Combs.
