Dorothy V. Carbaugh Morgan, 85, of Indian Creek went to be with the Lord on Monday September 29, 2014 at Appalachian Regional Hospital, Beckley, WV. She was born on September 29, 1929 in Eggleston, VA, a daughter of the late Elmer Elliot and Lena Bell Rodgers Carbaugh. Dorothy was a member of the Clear Fork Independent Church of God. She loved her church and the church family. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Dee M. Morgan in April 2010; an infant sister Nancy Carbaugh; and a brother Elmer Eugene Carbaugh. Survivors include two sons Charles and Judy Morgan of Fanrock and Roger and Kim Morgan of Pineville; three granddaughters Carla and Robby Clay of Fanrock, Jennifer and Dale Duffel of NC and Kara Steele of Pineville; two grandsons Denny and Emily Morgan of NC and Bobby Smith of Pineville; three great grandsons Kyle Duffel of NC, Cody Clay of Fanrock and Joel Morgan of NC; four great granddaughters Nicole "Nikki" Cheek of NC, Caleigh Morgan of NC, Lilly Morgan of NC and Kholoe Steele of Pineville; three sisters Clara Mae and Lewis Ingram, Vivian Bailey and Dolly Carbaugh all of Oceana; many nieces and nephews and other family and friends. Steve Gene Argabright, 61, of Lynco, WV went home to be with the Lord on Friday October 3, 2014 at his home. He was born June 6, 1953 a son of the late Louise Acord McComas and Albert McComas. He was a retired coal miner, member of UMWA Local 9177, and a loving, husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents three brothers Roger, Bo and L.C. Argabright also preceded him in death. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 34 years Ladonna Lynn Meade Argabright; a daughter Autumn Williams and her husband John of Fairdale; and two grandchildren Garrett Williams and Madison Williams; a brother Don McComas and wife Nancy of Lynco and their sons Dalton and Dylan McComas; several special nephews, nieces and other loving family and friends. Christopher Hannon "Cricket" Dixon, 41, of Oceana, WV, passed away on Wednesday October 8, 2014 in Richmond, VA. He was born on June 22, 1973 in Beckley, WV, a son of Joan Carol Toney Dixon of Lynco, WV and the late Joel Hannon Dixon. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his grandparents Willard and Kathleen Toney, and Joe and Mildred Dixon; and a special uncle Charlie Toney. Mary Ella Wimmer, 61, of Oceana, WV, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday October 8, 2014 at her home following a short illness. She was born on December 25, 1953 a daughter of the late Dewey Chambers, Jr. and Audrey Delphine Baldwin Clay. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two sisters Naomi Jasper, and Eleanor Stafford; a step son Phillip Wimmer. Survivors include her loving husband of 22 years Ray Wimmer, Sr. of Oceana; her only daughter Dovie Miller and son Christopher Wimmer of Oceana; three sisters Barbara Chambers and companion Shakey of Pineville, Millie and Glen Williams of Lynco and a very special sister Clarisse Clay of Lynco; two brothers Terry "Bo" Chambers and companion Lula of Lynco, and Timmy and Linda Clay of Lynco; two step children Bertha Lea Wimmer and Vanessa and Brandon Bible; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and friends. Now heaven will have another wonderful loving caring person. Sarah Ann Lucas Philyaw, 68, of Boonville, NC formerly of Ravencliff, WV, went to be with the Lord on Thursday October 9, 2014 at Yadkin Valley Community Hospital, Boonville, NC. She was born on February 9, 1946 a daughter of the late Giles Clifford Lucas and Myrtle Oretta Short Lucas. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Billy Philyaw, Sr. and a sister Susan (Gary) Lucas Kearney. Jill Eve Dehn Gibson, 67, of Beckley, WV, originally of Cleveland, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday October 12, 2014 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV. She was born on February 8, 1947 in Cleveland, OH, a daughter of the late William Ellsworth and Margaret Violet Dehn. Jill had worked very hard later in life to achieve an accounting degree from Concord University and retired with 15 years of loyal service with the Internal Revenue Service. Jill enjoyed taking vacations with her family to the beaches of the Outer Banks. She never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face and a kind word to say. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter Trona Renee Gibson. She was a member of Turkey Ridge Baptist Church. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 48 years Herman Paul Gibson; two children Pegge Ann Heath and her husband Christopher John Heath of Oak Hill, and Andrew William Gibson of Beckley; two grandchildren Christian Tyler Heath and Cameron Trey Heath both of Oak Hill; and a host of other loving family and friends. Deb was a 1984 graduate of Oceana High School, she loved hiking, camping, fishing, riding her motorcycle, her job and going to the beach. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Allie Gillenwater and Ira W. Hill, and Goldie and James Spratt. Violet Mae Bailey Miller, 88, of Cyclone, WV passed away on Tuesday December 16, 2014 at her home. She was born on June 14, 1926 in Cyclone, WV, a daughter of the late John Richard and Emma Toler Bailey. Violet was of the Baptist Faith and the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents she is preceded death by both husbands Junior Miller and June Ramsey; a son Danny Michael Miller; several brothers and two sisters. Survivors include a niece Charlotte Perry of Gary, WV; three nephews Clarence Wooten of Beaver, John Wooten of Alderson and Terry Wooten of Alderson; a special friend Ramona White of Cyclone; and a host of other loving family and friends. Charles Sylvester Crane, 67, of Gilbert, WV, passed away on Monday December 15, 2014 at his home. He was born on December 6, 1947 in Houston, TX, a son of William R. Crane of TX and the late Mary Francis Hayman Crane. In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by a sister. In addition to his father he is survived by his loving wife Linda Griffith Crane of Gilbert; three sons William Charles "Buggs" Crane, Johnny Glen Crane all of Warrior, AL, and Jason Scott Crane of North Pole, Alaska; a brother Jack Crane of AL; eleven grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and friends.
