Judy Marie Short Mason, 68, of Brier Creek, WV, passed away on Friday December 5, 2014 at Princeton Community Hospital, Princeton, WV. She was born on December 8, 1945 in Fanrock, WV, a daughter of the late Dewey and Fannie Stone Short Craft. Judy was a teacher for 33 1/2 years at Baileysville Elementary. In addition to her parents she is preceded death by her step-father Robert Craft. Survivors include her loving husband of 48 years Tommy Mason of Brier Creek; her pets Bo, Spike, and Millie; special friends Allen and Susan Stiltner of Brier Creek, Jared Stiltner of Harrisville; Jean and Maggie Moody of Brier Creek, Tommy and Linda Vance of Brier Creek and Lynn and Eddie Adkins of Keyrock; and a host of loving friends. Frank Howell, Jr., 51, of Red Jacket, WV, passed away on Monday December 1, 2014 at his home. He was born on April 10, 1963 in Vansant, VA a son of the late Frank and Alzie Mae Burgess Howell, Sr. Frank had been employed by the 7-Up company. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two sisters Josie Howell and Ellen Howell. Sweetie Vaughn Osborne, 68, of Little Creek, WV, formerly of Cyclone, passed away on Saturday November 29, 2014 at his home. He was born on February 10, 1946 in Cyclone, WV, a son of the late Willie and Cora Bailey Osborne. He is a member of the UMWA local 7604, Lilly Haven Baptist Church and retired in 1995 after 25 years with Eastern Associated Coal. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a step son Leroy Hatfield; two sisters Gertrude Lusk and Tiny Flaugher; and two brothers Cleatus Osborne and Wannie Osborne. Survivors include his loving wife Geraldine Ivy Osborne; three daughters Beatrice and Jerry Workman of Cyclone, Marti Franklin and Brenda Gibson both of Oceana; two sons Beecher Osborne of Cyclone and Willie and Barbara Osborne of Matheny; three sisters Dovie Lusk, Emma Bailey and Fannie and Bill Rollins all of Cyclone; two brothers Stewart and Sarah Osborne of Max Meadows, VA and Landy and Margaret Osborne of Matheny; twelve grandchildren Adam, Kyle, Ayla, Siera, Hannah, Ashlynn, Paige, Halli, Addie, Bobbi, Anna Ruth and Lacy; one great grandchild Natalie; and a host of other loving family and friends. Carl Edward Vint, 60, of Lynco, WV passed away on Monday November 24, 2014 in Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV. He was born on June 5, 1954 in Wyoming County, WV, a son of Virginia Isabelle Purvess Vint of Lynco and the late Harry Kenneth Vint. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by a special friend Regina "Sue" Stafford. He was born on August 2, 1983 graduate of Oceana High School and a member of the UMWA. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his step-mother Bonnie Sue Walls and a sister Angie Smith. Mitzi "Hazel" Childers Kellogg, 67, of Charleston, WV, passed away on Friday November 21, 2014 at her home. Spriggs Childers, Sr. She is a 1965 graduate of Oceana High School and the first female photographer for the Charleston Gazette. She worked many years and retired from several State Government offices in Charleston. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother Clarence B. Childers. Survivors include two sisters Loretta Bernice Long of Boomer and Alice Faye Childers of Kopperston; two brothers Charles Malcom Childers, Jr. and wife Carolyn of Axton, VA and Coy Lee Childers of Bloomingburg, NY; her beloved cat Capuka; and a host of other loving family and friends. Garnett Ola Goodwin Lusk, 92, of Kopperston, WV went to live with the Lord on Tuesday November 18, 2014 at her home. She was born on September 25, 1922 in Logan, WV a daughter of the late Boots Logan and Orphia Noe Goodwin. Garnett was the last living founding member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband Frank James Lusk; a son Wandell Calvin Lusk; a daughter Pateria Long; three grandsons Larry Wayne Lusk, Brian Hood and David Terrace; two son-in-laws; two sisters and two brothers. Herbert Gibson, Sr., 65, of Oceana, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday December 30, 2014 at his home. He was born on June 13, 1949 in Wharton, WV, a son of Annie Daniels Gibson of Cyclone, and the late Aldie Gibson. Herbert was a member of UMWA, NRA and attended the Toler Baptist Church at Campus. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years Betty Mae Duffy Gibson; and a granddaughter Tressie Fox.
