Dewey McKinnley "Duke" Chambers, 68, of Lynco, WV, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV. He was born on June 1, 1946 in Coal Mountain, WV, a son of the late Joseph Walter and Sadie Leona Harper Chambers. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son David Hearns; a sister Dolly Kennedy; and a granddaughter Brandi Lynn. Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years Shirley Temple Maynor Chambers of Lynco; three daughters Patricia Lester of Oceana, JoAnne Graham of Mt. Airy, NC and Betty and Coy Lusk of Glen Fork; three sons Richard Hearns of Mt. Airy, NC, Billy and Aretta Hearns of Lynco and Bobby and Heather Chambers of Oceana; three sisters Janice Cline of Lillydale, Shirley Cline of Long Branch and Margie Cline of Hanover; a brother Gerald Chambers of Pineville; twenty three grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, March 6, 2015 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV, with Rev. David Johnson. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 6-9:00 PM on Saturday, March 5, 2015 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Elizabeth Ann Snuffer, 31, of Oceana, WV, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 at her home. She was born June 2, 1983 in Beckley, WV, a daughter of Barbara Snuffer of Kopperston and the late Gary Thomas Snuffer. In addition to her father she is preceded in death by her grandparents Mary and Seldon Bailey and Virginia and Albert Snuffer. In addition to her mother she is survived by three daughters; a son; a sister Sarah Rae Snuffer Hatfield and husband Elliott of Kopperston; two nieces Alexia and Allison Hatfield of Kopperston; two uncles Ralph Bailey and wife Penny of NC and Ray Snuffer of Stafford, VA; a great uncle Frank Lamb of CA; a great aunt Nancy Bailey of Oceana; and a host of other loving family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Toneda Missionary Baptist Church, Kopperston, WV, with Rev. Jerry Cook Officiating. Friends may gather with the family from noon until time of service on Friday, March 6, 2015 at the church. In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Nancy Carol Acord Paynter, 63, of Oceana, WV, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Kindred Hospital, Cleveland, OH. She was born on December 30, 1951 in Oceana, a daughter of the late Robert Acord, Jr. and Myrtle Lilly Hager Acord. She was a quiet and gentle person always word of encouragement and praise for her family and friends with Christian faith and strength added. Nancy loved singing in church and to her babies; she also enjoyed crocheting and Tole painting country crafts before her illness got so severe. Most of all she loved "The Lord Jesus Christ" and going to church with her loving husband Benjamin and her children and grandchildren. Those that are left were blessed to have had her as part of their life will truly miss her, although she left us knowing she is without a doubt "Singing in Heavens Choir" now. Nancy was a member of Joseph Baptist Church, Lynco, WV also a member of National Society daughters of the American Revolution, John Cooke Chapter, Oceana, WV. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two daughters Tara Mischele Paynter and Tangee Carol Paynter; and three sisters Linda Lou Acord, Sabrina Acord and Myrna Acord Walker. Survivors include her loving husband Benjamin Thomas Paynter of Oceana; two daughters Tonja C. Laranie, and Betina T. Paynter and fiance Robert Burton all of Oceana; a son Dakota Paynter of Oceana; a step-daughter Lisa Ann Paynter of Simon; a step-son Robert and Tina Paynter of Oceana; five sisters Sylvia Acord Bragg, Betty and Joe Goodwin all of Oceana, Virginia and Ronnie Bradley of Denver, NC, Stallie and Harry Allen of Beckley, Mary Acord Lundy of Bradley; a brother Robert E. Acord of Akron, OH; eight grandchildren John T. Wojnar, of Livonia, MI, Robert Laranie, Erica Laramie all of Oceana, Thomas Paynter of Novi, MI, Tyler Peach of Westland, MI, Dashaun Paynter, Montana Paynter and DaVonte Paynter all of Oceana; two great grandchildren Trystyn Paynter of Novi, MI and Jackson Wojnar of Livonia, MI; eighteen step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Joseph Baptist Church, Lynco, WV, with Pastor William Cook. Friends may gather with the family from 1:00 PM until time of service on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the church. In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Jackie Ray Brewster, 67, of Indian Creek, WV, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, in Beckley VA Medical Center, Beckley, WV. He was born on September 21, 1947 in Indian Creek, WV, a son of the late Jasper James and Thelma Miller Brewster. Jackie was an United States Army Vietnam Veteran. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister Carolyn Brewster and a brother James Brewster. Survivors include a sister Nancy Allen of Indian Creek; two brothers Marvin Brewster of Summerville, NC and Richard Brewster Of VA; two nieces Jennifer Bennett of Indian Creek and Victoria Marie Brewster of VA; two nephews Thomas James Allen of Indian Creek and James Roy Brewster, Jr. GA; a great niece Ariel Bennett of Indian Creek; a great nephew Matthew Allen of Indian Creek; and a host of other loving family and friends. Graveside services will be held at noon on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at the Brewster Point cemetery, Indian Creek, WV, and burial will follow. Military Rites will be conducted by the Wyoming County Veterans Honor Guard. In keeping with his wishes he was cremated. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Robert E. "Buddy" Repass, 84, of Oceana, WV, entered into eternal life with his Lord and Savior, with his family by his side, on Saturday, March 7, 2015 in Bower's Hospice House, Beckley, WV. He was born on March 9, 1931, in McComas, WV, a son of the late Henry and Barbara Earl Repass. Buddy was a coal miner for 43 1/2 years; a member of the UMWA and a member of the Campus Church of God. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years Joeann Repass; four brothers George, Bill, Cameron and Archie; three sisters Mary, Virginia and Clara. Survivors include a daughter Louise and Denny Cook of Oceana; two sons Robert and Tammy Repass and Frankie Repass all of Oceana; five grandchildren Jeanese and Eddie Green, Misty and Gene Coleman, Rebecca Repass and companion Homer, Jessica and Ben Cook and Robert, Jr. and Kelly Repass; nine great grandchildren Chris, Nick, Cheyenne, Jacob, Tamara, Jace, Hendrix, Bentley and Seraphina; a sister Ann Santmyer; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at noon, on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV, with Rev. Roger Stewart and Bro. J.L. Riffe officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 6-9:00 PM on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Eddie, Chris and Nick Green, Robert Repass, Jr., Ben Cook and Gene Coleman. Kimberly Dawn Hammon Perdieu, 43, of Oceana, WV, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015, at her home. She was born on January 30, 1972, in Beckley, WV, a daughter of Diana Bailey Mathis of Oceana and the Late William H. Hammon, II. She attended the Ark of Safety Church. In addition to her father she is preceded in death by her grandparents Roy and Pina Bailey and William H. Hammon. In addition to her mother survivors include two daughters Bridget Cozort of Mullens and Megan and Ray Murdock of Fayetteville; step father Johnny Mathis of Oceana; two step sisters Belinda and Brad Lovins of Matheny and Tracy Mathis of Lexington, KY; a step brother Johnny and Lisa Mathis II of Bassett, VA; grandmother Nellie Hammon of Kopperston; an uncle Frankie Hammon of Beckley; many loving cousins family and friends. Funeral services will be held at1:00 PM on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the Oceana Freewill Baptist Church, Oceana, WV, with Rev. Herman Cook and Pastor Jackie Grimmett officiating. She will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 11:00 AM until time of service on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the church. Norman Ray "Stormin' Norman" Cline, 47, of Lynco, WV, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday March 8, 2015. He was born on January 23, 1968, in Man, WV, a son of the late Acie Arden and Irene Francis Blankenship Cline. Norman was a former construction worker and an expert welder, and he was also an amateur boxer until his health forced him to give it up. Norman was a 1986 graduate of Oceana High School. He enjoyed watching football, boxing, going hunting and trout fishing. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister; several brothers and a sister-in-law Diana. Those left to cherish his memories are his mother Wilma Cline who "Kept him in line"; his older sister Dora and Denver Goodman who always assured him that "it will all be alright"; his baby sister Angela and Eddie Workman who he protected and she did the same, "you and me against the world"; his sister Arlene and Bruce Lopez, Kadie and Dave Acord, Marie and Les Francis; and a brother Lucky Cline; many nephews and nieces, his nieces Ashley and Jennah and his nephew Tanner were like his own. He had many birth brothers and sisters and a multitude of friends and family that will miss him dearly. He's dogs Stormy and Sugar and his cat Sophie will mourn for many days to come. You were a well known man a "Simple Man". Rest peacefully "Stormin Norman" your fight is over. We love you infinitely. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2015 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV, with Rev. Ron Harvey officiating. His wishes were to be laid to rest with all of the boys he grew up with in the Cook cemetery, Lynco, WV. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Leann Nicole Stewart Richmond, 32, of Jumping Branch, WV, formerly of Oceana, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015. She was born on July 28, 1982 in Man, WV, a daughter of Pamela Gaye Barber (Douglas) Shelton of Jumping Branch and Anthony Wayne (Joyce) Stewart of Oceana. Leann is a 2000 graduate of Summers County High School. She is preceded in death by her grandfather Chilton Barber, grandparents Herndon and Ernie Stewart; and a step brother Doug Shelton, Jr. In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband Allen R. Richmond; a daughter Kayla Stewart of Jumping Branch; a son Jacob Richmond of Jumping Branch;; two brothers Joshua Stewart, Sr. and companion Candy Grimmett of Glen Daniels, and Bryan Acord of Jumping Branch; aunts Shelia Barber-Dancy of Fredricksburg, VA, Polly Anne Stewart, Brenda (Paul) Harvey and Linda Lusk; uncles Jimmy Stewart, Terry (Nan) Stewart and Gary (Rhonda) Stewart; grandmother Audarene (Arley) Walls of Oceana; nieces Lindsay, Brooke and Zoey which she affectionately called Love Bug; nephew Joshua, Jr.; sister-in-law and caregiver Wanda Richmond of Hilldale; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Cyclone Church of God, Cyclone, WV, with Sister Emma White officiating. She will be laid to rest in Lusk cemetery, Cyclone, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 6-9:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2015 at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Raymond Robert Webb, 85, of Oceana, WV, entered the gates of Heaven on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. He fought hard to survive after having 2 heart attacks in less than a week, but his body was not strong enough. He was born on February 20, 1930 in Berchton, WV, a son of the late Earl and Trula Smith Webb. He was the last remaining member of the Webb children. Raymond was a coal miner who began his career with a pick and shovel. He advanced through the different phases of mining, including becoming a Federal Mine Inspector. He was part of the task force that made new laws governing coal mine damns after the Buffalo Creek disaster. He also served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Raymond's favorite saying lately was "I'm such a lucky man!" To sum this up I should say, To love and be loved is one of life's greatest blessings. He had both. He truly loved his family and friends, and he was truly loved. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years Helen Buck Webb of Oceana; two daughters Cindy Stewart and husband Danny of Poca and Debbie Miller and husband Ronald "Butch" of Fairdale; a son Ray Webb, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren Chris Stewart and his children Devon, Juliana, and Amelia, Erica Pompie and husband Jason, Children Aiden and Kendall, David "DJ" Blankenship and partner Becky Cooper, Amber Cains and husband Brad, and Brandi Carter and husband Joe, and children Logan, Riley, Trinity and Desirea; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 16, 2015 at the Oceana First Baptist Church, Oceana, WV, with Pastor Jerry Cook Officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 11:00 AM until time of service on Monday, March 16, 2015 at the church. Margaret Mae Smith Stafford, 62, of Oak Hill, WV, formerly of Pineville, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. She was born on October 18, 1952, a daughter of the late James Arthur Smith and Blanche Mae Lusk. Margaret was a 1971 Graduate of Baileysville High School. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years Charles Kerry Stafford; two brothers Howard Smith and David Smith. Survivors include her two sons Steven Stafford of Oceana and Darin Stafford of Oceana and his children Selena Salyers of Logan and Isabella Stafford of Bremerton, WA ; two sisters Ollie Bognar of Warner Robins, GA and Thelma (Jack) Brooks of Fanrock; eight brothers B.C. (Sandy) Smith of Warner Robins, GA, Thomas (Sandy) Smith of Trinity, NC, Art (Sandy) Smith of Hammonton, NJ, Mervin (Robin) Smith of Charleston, Roger (Debbie) Smith of Pineville, James (Debbie) Smith of Lynco, Eugene (Edwina) Smith of Fanrock and George (Wendy) Smith of Lynco; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday March 17, 2015 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV, with Dr. Mervin Smith officiating. Wanda Gail Bailey Walker, 54, of Oceana, WV, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2015 in Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV. She was born on February 11, 1961 in Pineville, WV, a daughter of the late George Lee and Betty Jean Chandler Bailey, Sr. Wanda was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two sisters Arlene Sue Wilder and Rebecca Lynn Britt and her father-in-law Leonard C. Walker. Survivors include her loving husband of 35 years Danny Ray Walker; three daughters Wanda Darlene (Derek) Adkins of Kopperston, Dena Renae (Kris) Spence of Oceana and Marissa Rae Walker and fiance Jerry Snuffer of Princeton; three sisters Mary Catherine (Greg) Keene of Iaeger, Darlene Lou Duschaine of Lake Ann, MI and Jennifer Ann (Doug) Browning of Gilbert Creek; three brothers George Lee (Diane) Bailey, Jr. and Bud Ray (Angela) Bailey all of Glen Fork and Michael Wayne (Melissa) Bailey of Cana, VA; six grandchildren Nathan Ray Cook, Kailyn Spence, Abigail Ann Cook, Madison Brooke Cook, Karli Paityn Spence and Sophia Avaya Grace Adkins; her mother-in-law Darlean Walker Murphy of Kopperston; brother-in-law Damon Walker of Kopperston; and a host of other loving family and friends.
