Darel David Lester, 67, of Panther, WV, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015, at his home. He was born on January 2, 1948, in Panther, WV, a son of the late Maston and Rushie Hurley Lester. He was an employee of Iaeger Supply. In addition to her parents he is preceded in death by siblings Finis Lester, Roger Lester and Densel Steve Lester. Survivors include his loving wife Tina Adams Lester; two sister Beechie Adams and husband Nick and Lois Hatfield; step grandchildren Tylor, Emily, Jacob, Shane, Amberly, Brooklyn, Hunter, and Little Eddy Bailey; step children Matthew Lester and wife Tina, Heather Odom and husband Bub, Joey Lester and wife Melisa and Jason Lester and wife Amanda; nieces and nephews Charlotte Blankenship, Crystal Stewart, Jeffery Adams, Nicholas Adams and Jamie Lester; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the Roderfield House of Prayer, Roderfield, WV, with Pastor Johnnie Akers officiating. He will be laid to rest in Bailey cemetery, Long Pole Panther, WV. Friends may gather with the family after 6:00 PM on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the funeral home. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Teddy "TJ" Joe Dixon, 48, of Glen Daniel, WV, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015. He was born on January 2, 1967 in Man, WV, a son of Joan Carol Toney Dixon of Lynco, WV and the late Joel Hannon Dixon. Teddy was a 1985 graduate of Oceana High School, attended WV State University on a baseball scholarship and Rio Grande University in Ohio. He was employed by Patriot Coal Wells Plant in Boone County, a United States Army Veteran, a member of the Journeymen Iron Worker Union for 22 years and the UMWA. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his brother Christopher "Cricket" Dixon; grandparents Willard and Kathleen Toney, and Joe and Mildred Dixon; and a very special uncle Charlie Toney. Those left to cherish his memory are his son Hayden Thomas Dixon of Glen Daniel; his mother Joan Carol Toney Dixon of Oceana; a sister Clisty Hill of Oceana; three nephews Andy Hill, Dylan Dixon and Brandon Dixon all of Oceana; two aunts Kathy Toney Thompson and husband David of Pineville, and Phyllis Toney of Oceana; an uncle Bill Toney and wife Brenda of Norwalk, OH; a very special companion Kelly Ayers of Glen Daniel; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at Noon on Friday, April 17, 2015 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV, with Rev. Jerry Brown officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 11:00 AM until time of service on Friday, April 17, 2015 at the funeral home. In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated following the service. Bryant W. Cochran, 25, of Blacksburg, VA, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at his home following a battle with Leukemia. He was born on December 29, 1989 in Blacksburg, VA, a son of Darrell Arthur and Edra Gaye Harvey Cochran of Blacksburg. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Inez and German Harvey; grandmother Dorothy Hoover; an aunt Jean Cole; and an uncle Belford Cochran. In addition to his parents he is survived by two sisters Donna Davis and Tonia Cochran; a brother Dean and Carolyn Cochran and their children Samantha, Chase and Jacob Cochran of Floyd County, VA; uncles and aunts Alfred and Mary Harvey, and their children Adam and Monica Harvey, Misty and John Maynor and Bella, Billy and Beatrice Harvey, and their children Shane and Annie Harvey, Steven and Sherry Harvey, Donnie and Gerald Jackson and Payten, all of WV, and Ray Cole of NC; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the Sunhill Country Church, Sunhill, WV, with Pastor Jay Blankenship and Rev. Johnathon Nub Blankenship officiating. He will be laid to rest in German Harvey cemetery, Cedar Creek, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 6-9:00 PM on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the church. Billy Ray Perry, 82, of Cyclone, WV passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015 following a sudden illness at home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 17, 1932 in Davin, WV, a son of the late Marshall Hayes and Inez Christian Perry. Bill served in the Korean War where he received the rank of Sgt. He was employed at Consolidated Gas as a well tender for 31 years. While at Consolidated he received the Prestigious McCarter Medal for his heroic life saving action of a drowning victim on February 26, 1985. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, ginsenging, cooking Sunday dinner, watching the New York Yankees and lending a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a member of the Cyclone Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he preceded in death by a son Wilfred Wesley Perry; three brothers Orville "Buddy" Perry, Sherwood Perry and Walter "Von" Perry; and a set of infant twins Franklin and Francine Perry. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years Cataline Bobbie Perry of Cyclone; five daughters Gloria Brinkley of Cyclone, Karen (Pat) Browning of Davin, Erma (Tim) Mutters of Oceana, Teresa (Timmy Joe) Justice of Davin and Jennifer Mathis of Pratt; a son Brian (Robin) Perry of Accoville; twelve grandchildren Lil' Pat Browning, Stephanie Florence, Tessa Brinkley, Joshua and Timothy Mutters, Christin, Kelsey and Trey Mathis, TJ Justice, TJ Hoosier, Joshua Perry and Andrew Backus; eight great grandchildren Savannah, Coleton and Keelyn Browning, Kayln Diegert, Bristol and Kendall Florence, Luxley and Zeke Mutters; his mother Rosie Toler Perry of Cyclone; five sisters Betty Miller of Cleveland, OH, Judy Walls of Tallahassee, FL, Darlene Perry of Cyclone, Mary (Frankie) Canterbury and Sherry (David) Spaulding both of Oceana; a brother James "Jim" (Rita) Perry of Ripley; a special friend John W. Cook of Cyclone; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Cyclone Missionary Baptist Church, Cyclone, WV, with Rev. Stephen Walls, Brian Perry and Patrick Browning officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Military Rites will be conducted by the Wyoming County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may gather with the family from 6-9:00 PM on Monday, April 20, 2015 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV. Pallbearers will be Lil' Pat Browning, Joshua Mutters, Timothy Mutters, TJ Justice, Trey Mathis and Joshua Perry. Honorary Pallbearers will be John W. Mickey Walker Walls, 84, of Clear Fork, WV passed away on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Ronceverte, WV. He was born March 18, 1931 in Wyoming County, WV, a son of the late Phillip Sheridan and Thelma Ivy Farrell Walls. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Margaret "Tiny" Hedrick Walls; a son Timmy Walls; three sisters Ruth, Naomi and Minnie Pearl and two brothers Jack and Dempsey "Demp". He was a retired coal miner having last worked at Island Creek's Coal Mountain Mine. Survivors include two grandchildren Faith and Phillip; nephews Mickey and Kathy Sutters of San Angelo, TX, Johnny and Teresa Baisden of Chicago, IL and Colin and Rose Baisden of Cleveland, OH; a great niece Sarah Sutters of San Angelo, TX; a great nephew Mickey Walls Sutters of San Angelo, TX; several other great nieces and nephews; a friend Juanita Fox of Oceana; and other loving family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 5, 2015 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Eddie Aliff officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 6 - 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the funeral home. James Clarence "Jimmy" Lester, 66, of Oceana, WV passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born on March 11, 1949 in Hurley, VA, a son of the late Jack and Lina Matney Lester. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter Cindy Lester and a son James Lester, Jr. In keeping with his wishes there will no services. Burial will be at Wolf Penn Hollow cemetery, Long Branch, WV. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Linda Sue Toler Hoosier, 52, of Morrison, TN, formerly of Oceana, WV went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at St. Thomas West Hospital, Nashville, TN. She was born on March 17, 1963 in Welch, WV, a daughter of Bobby Eugene Toler of Oceana and Shirley Blankenship Harvey of Brenton. Sue attended the First Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith in McMinnville, TN and was a 1982 graduate of Oceana High School. She was a loving wife, mother and wonderful nana. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Blanche Bell Blankenship, Ausie Blankenship and Olin Toler; and her father Finley Harvey. Survivors include her loving husband of four years Pete "Torch" Hoosier; two daughters Kanisha Blankenship and companion Matthew Cook of Beckley and Destini Toler of Oceana; a son Christopher Toler of Charlotte, NC; three sisters Glenna Toler Wilburn and husband Bud of Fayetteville, Kimberly Lynn Toler and husband Charlie of Turkey Dip and Bobbi Jo Toler and husband Tony of Charleston; two brothers Edwin Toler and wife Kimberly of Beckley and Olin Toler and wife Pat of Randalman, NC; three grandchildren Xavier Sean Cook, Xander Slade Cook and Josiah Blake Toler; and a host of other loving family and friends. Vadis Vaudaline Miller, 89, of Gainsville, VA, formerly of Brenton, WV passed over into her eternal resting on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at her home following a long illness. She was born on October 31, 1925 in Pineville, WV a daughter of Warren and Ethal Shannon Cook. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Warren Miller; a daughter Tamorah Miller; a son Donald Miller; three brothers Willie Cook, Jack Cook and Warren Cook, Jr.; and a granddaughter Regina Ennis. Those left to cherish her memory are her three daughters Carolyn (Howard) Johnson of Front Royal, VA, Rita Miller and Debra Hess both of Gainesville, VA; a daughter-in-law Brenda Miller; a sister Lona Lou Finley of Huntington; eight grandchildren Tamisha and Shawn Hess, Brittany Lawson, Savannah Thomas, Chris Hall, Greg and Marty Garrett and Connie Ennis; seven great grandchildren Ellie Lawson, Christopher and Carleigh Hall, Trinity Hess, Kaitlyn and Gregory Garrett II, and Brenda Ennis; three great great grandchildren Isaiah, Jeramiah and Gregory Garrett III; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 12, 2015 at the Brenton Baptist Church, Brenton, WV, with Pastor Tommy Knotts officiating. Roger Blankenship, 69, of Oceana, WV, passed away on Monday June 8, 2015 in Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH. He was born on February 4, 1946 a son of the late Halsey and Belle Toler Blankenship. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a three brothers Truman, Danny and Jolle Blankenship; and a sister Lois Blankenship. Survivors include his wife Maggie Hendricks Lester Blankenship; a daughter Tina Blankenship of Louisiana; a son Roger (Angie) Blankenship, Jr. of Charleston; two sisters Betty Blankenship of OK and Shirley Toler of Brenton; three grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and friends. Frances Janete Isom Beavers, 81, of Ikes Fork, WV passed away on Wednesday June 10, 2015 at her home. She was born on May 11, 1934 in Wilcoe, WV a daughter of the late John Floyd and Mable Lee Rose Isom. Frances is a member of the Harmons Branch Church of God for 54 years. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband John Beavers, Jr.; a brother Robert Isom; and a sister Shelby Mitchem. Survivors include her daughter Rita Lester (Roscoe) Miller of Brenton; a son Larry (Rachel) Beavers of Ikes Fork; a special sister-in-law Thelma Blankenship of Iaeger; an aunt Julia York of Mansfield, OH; four grandchildren Bradley R. (Amanda) Beavers of Hanover, Karla (Matt) Lyle of Lima, OH, Esther Beavers of Ikes Fork and Jatanna (Eric) Janney of Dallas, TX; three great grandchildren Michael Beavers, Kaden Beavers both of Hanover and Keira Janney of Dallas, TX; her church family; a special friend Julie Green; and a host of other loving family and friends.
