Margaret Virginia Sizemore Mitchem, 93, of Clear Fork, WV passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at her home. She was born on March 6, 1923 in Pineville, WV a daughter of the late Phillip Edward and Rosetta "Etta" Sarver Sizemore. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband Luther Mitchem; two sons Ray Sizemore and John Mitchem; and two step sons Riley and Paul Mitchem. Survivors include four daughters Sue (Steve) Clay, Nancy (Lee) Lester, Genalea Raye, and Edith (Ernest) Gilley; three sons Randy (Joni) Mitchem, Wayne Mitchem, and Luther (Meredith) Mitchem, Jr.; two daughter-in-laws Libby Mitchem and Iris Sizemore; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the Hickory Ridge cemetery, Bud Mountain, WV with Rev. Tommy Knotts officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Ethel "Irene" Parsley Duncan, 87, of Kopperston, WV passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV. She was born on July 4, 1928 in Pilgrim, KY a daughter of the late George and Fannie Moore Parsley. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Mason Glen Duncan; great grandson Tony Aliff; brothers and sisters Grethel Brown, Betty Jo Daugherty, Avonelle Snively and Leonard Parsley. Survivors include her three daughters Velna (Ray “Buck”) Goodwin, Jr. of Williamsburg, VA, Wanda (Farley “Delmie”) Toler and JoAnn (Oza) Mullens, Jr. all of Kopperston; a son Gerald (Carol) Duncan of Kopperston; four sisters Ruby (Verla) Eary, Annabelle (Kenneth) Sloop, Tennessee Duncan and Billie Jean Armstrong; a brother James Chester "Raymond" (Rosa) Parsley; twelve grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren; seventeen great great grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 8, 2016 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Ron Harvey officiating. She will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from noon until time of service on Friday, July 8, 2016 at the funeral home. Cynthia Denise Harman Hill, 47, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Kopperston, WV passed away on Monday, July 4, 2016 at Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville, TN. She was born on June 7, 1969 in Radford, VA a daughter of Bobby Edward Harman and wife Freda of Clear Fork and Darinkia Joyce Adkins McDonald and husband Michael of Leesburg, FL. Cynthia was a United States Army Veteran and a 1987 graduate of Oceana High School. She is preceded in death by a son-in-law Michael Thorston. Survivors include her daughter Charlene Thorston of Greer, SC; a son William "Billy" Breite of Greer, SC; grandmother Mary Lou Harman of Squire; three sisters Dyann Hart of Leesburg, FL, Beth Harman Ford of Beckley and April (Eric) Clay of Beckley; a grandson Paul Thorston; her life partner Brant Hill of Knoxville, TN; eight nieces and nephews; one great niece; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, July 8, 2016 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Pastor Algie Cook officiating. In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated following the service. Friends may gather with the family from 6-9:00 PM on Friday, July 8, 2016 at the funeral home. Nancy Jane Allen, 64, of Ravencliff, WV passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Princeton Community Hospital, Princeton, WV. She was born on May 29, 1952 in Mullens, WV a daughter of Mandy Jane Tilley Allen of Ravencliff and the late Claude Preston Allen. In addition to her father she is preceded in death by a brother Jackie Allen; sister Betty Bowman and her grandparents. In addition to her mother she is survived by a daughter Selena Jane Cozort of Sabine; a son Justin (Stacy) Cozort of Sabine; granddaughter Aria Cozort of Sabine; her companion of 21 years Gordon Hickman; two sisters Doris Allen and Donna Allen all of Ravencliff; four brothers Dennis (Susan) Allen of McGraws, Darrell “Jake” (Tammy) Allen of Glen Fork, Claude Allen, Jr. and Randell Allen both of Ravencliff; five nephews Eric Taylor, Adam Taylor, Jerrod Taylor, Matthew Allen and Josh Allen; two nieces Rachel Allen and Ashley Allen; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV. She will be laid to rest in Pretty Ridge cemetery, Saulsville, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 11:00 AM until time of service on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the funeral home. Billy Joe Tilley, 61, of Ravencliff, WV passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Summers County ARH, Hinton, WV. He was born on November 28, 1954 in Pineville, WV a son of Lola Day Tilley of Glen Fork and the late Harvey Waymen Tilley. Billy was a loving husband, son, Dad, grandfather, brother and friend to many. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time at his camper. He also loved spending time with all of his family and playing cards with his buddies, but most of all his greatest joy was making a life time of memories with his grandkids. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by a brother Lawerence Tilley; and two brother-in-laws Robert "Patch Eye" Bailey and Ricky Frazier. Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years Elaine Sizemore Tilley; two children Dana (John) Day and Jerry (Rose) Tilley all of Ravencliff; five grandchildren Cassandra (Cody) Thompson of Ravencliff, Chandale Osborne of Ritchie County, Layla Tilley of Ravencliff, Dalton Tilley of Keyrock and Branson Tilley of Ravencliff; two great grandchildren McKenzie and Makaleigh Thompson; four extended grandchildren Jeffrey Allen, Brittany Meadows, Allie Meadows and Wyatt Harvey; six sisters Charlotte Bailey of Glen Fork, Rosemary Frazier of Sabine, Sharon Church of Jesse, Bobbi Gale (Andy) Jones of Glen Fork, Nancy (Bobby) Newsome of Maben and Lisa (Tim) Trump of Elkview; four brothers Charles (Trena) Tilley of Glen Fork, David (Teresa) Tilley of Warsaw, IL, Carlos (Susie) Tilley of Randleman, NC, and Randy Tilley of Naughtuck; sister-in-law Gail Tilley of Ravencliff; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at the Christian Fellowship Worship Center, Pineville, WV with Pastor Bill Goode officiating. Jim Remely Brown, III, 26, of Glen Fork, WV passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV. He was born on May 26, 1990 in Welch, WV a son of the late Jim Remely Brown, Jr. and Rachel Michelle Graham. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his grandmother Lorraine Brown. Survivors include his son Joshua Brown of Mullens; two sisters Lori Michelle Brown of Glen Fork and Hope Leann Brown of Glen Fork; two brothers Ronnie Jacob Brown and Ethan Joseph Brown both of Ohio; grandfather Jim Remely "Jamie" Brown, Sr. of Glen Fork; three aunts Carlene Backus, Tina Lynn (Jimmy) Clark all of Glen Fork and Ida Joyce (Charlie) Bailey of Glen Daniels; four uncles Terry James (Carmela) Brown and Jerry Lee Brown all of Glen Fork, and Mark Anthony (Amanda) Brown of MI and Jody (Beth) Brown of Kopperston; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 14, 2016 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV. He will be laid to rest in Adkins cemetery, Glen Fork, WV. Adeline Bailey, 55, of New Richmond, WV passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at her home. She was born on February 12, 1961 in Detroit, MI a daughter of Evelena Lawrence Hughes of Simon and the late Buel Cline. Adeline attended the Jesus Name Church. In addition to her father she is preceded in death by her step-father Woodrow Walker; three sisters her twin Cathleen Nichols, Tamie Ramsey Kenneda and Evonda Kenneda; a brother Adam Cline; a grandson Bailey Braiden Toler; grandmother Kizzie Creola Sandau; grandparents Verner and Dicilean "Dicie" Cline; and several aunts and uncles. In addition to her mother survivors include her loving husband of 18 years Ralph William Bailey, Sr.; three daughters Hazel Rebecca (William Brewster) Toler, Ashley Kennedy (Ricky) Cook and Kendra Lawrence all of New Richmond; three step sons Ralph (Jeri) Bailey, Jr. and Dickie Lee Bailey all of Simon and Oakley James Bailey of New Richmond; a brother Verlin T. Cline of New Richmond; four grandchildren Ashton Toler, Shana Godsey, Aiden Toler and Carleen Godsey; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Long Branch Freewill Baptist Church, Long Branch, WV. She will be laid to rest in Morgan Sandau cemetery, Long Branch Mountain. Friends may gather with the family after 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 13th and Thursday, July 14th at the church. George Edward Hughes, 83, of Simon, WV passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Beckley Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was born on August 28, 1932 in Akron, OH a son of the late Charles Washington and Margaret McMullen Hughes, Sr. He worked many years as a tow truck driver. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister Mary Lee Mathers, a brother Charles W. Hughes, Jr., an aunt Ruth Lee Williams and a sister-in-law Karen Hughes. He was an US Army National Guard Veteran and a member of the Baileysville Baptist Church and the VFW. Survivors include two brothers Raymond H. Hughes of Clear Fork and Ralph E. Hughes and wife Evelena of Simon; a longtime friend Conrad Dixon of Inkster, Michigan and several nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, July 22, 2016 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV. He will be laid to rest in Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans cemetery, Dunbar, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 6:00 until time of service on Friday and after the service until 9:00 PM at the funeral home. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

On Thursday July 21st Wilma Gay Brooks, 68 of Fanrock passed away peacefully with her family by her side after a courageous battle with liver disease. She was born in Mullens on October 30th, 1947. She was the daughter of James Perry Brooks and Lila Mae Kennedy who both preceded her in death. She was a retired school bus driver for Wyoming County Schools after 32 years of faithful service earning perfect or faithful attendance every year. She loved animals and enjoyed watching her grandson participate in high school basketball and could often be found bragging on his and her children's accomplishments. She also enjoyed taking care of her home, both inside and out and loved decorating her home with candles and angels. A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her son Darrell Hatfield and his wife Lori of Orange, Virginia, her daughter Vanessa Adkins of Fanrock along with her grandson Christopher Adkins also of Fanrock. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a very special sister-in-law Adelene Adams. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 6-9:00 PM on Sunday, July 24, 2016 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

George W. Collins, 71, of Mallory, WV passed away on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Trinity Health Care, Logan, WV. He was born on October 29, 1944 in Braholm, WV a son of the late William and Cleo Roseberry Collins. George was a member of the PJ Tomblin Outreach. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter Shawn Matthews; sisters Reba Banks, Joann McCoy, Nadine Hayes and Betty Robertson; two granddaughters Seirra and Taylor Saucier; and a brother Robert Roseberry. Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years Linda Johnson Collins; a daughter Roberta (Jeffery) Saucier of Hampton, VA; a son George M. Collins, Jr. of Kistler; two sisters Von Doty of Kistler and Naomia Perry of NC; a brother John L. Collins of Mallory; an ex daughter-in-law Tonia Johnson; four grandchildren Kristen Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Rihanna Johnson and a very special loving granddaughter Kayla Matthews; two great grandchildren Mia Johnson and Tyler Goad; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, July 25, 2016 at the Kistler Freewill Baptist Church, Kistler, WV with Rev. P.J. Tomblin officiating. In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated following the services. Friends may gather with the family from 5:00 PM on Monday, July 25, 2016 until time of service at the church. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
