This collection includes records of Jewish Holocaust victims from memorials in Czechia, Netherlands, France, Austria, Belgium and Luxembourg. The collection also includes 442,972 Jews who lived in Germany from 1933 to 1945. A record may include: given name, surname, maiden name, birth date, birthplace, residence, death date, death place, place of imprisonment, and deportation or emigration.
Index of Jewish Displaced Person and Refugee Cards, 1943-1959
This collection is from the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) and consists of the following: JDC emigrant registration cards from Munich and Vienna from 1945 to the mid 1950s, refugee case cards from Barcelona from 1943-1945, refugee registration cards from Hungary from 1956-1957, and emigration case files from Warsaw from 1945-1949. Records often contain the first and last name of the primary individual, birth date, birth place, the names of any accompanying individuals, the place of emigration, the destination, and information identifying which JDC emigration office the record pertains to.

Austria, Vienna, Jewish Emigrant Applications, 1938-1939
The Jewish community in interwar Vienna was the third largest Jewish community in Europe, and approximately 200,000 Jews were living there before World War II. The "Anschluss" – the annexation of Austria to Nazi Germany in March 1938 - brought an abrupt end to this flourishing community. The official community - Vienna Israelitische Kultusgemeinde (IKG) - was temporarily closed by the National Socialists, and after it reopened in May 1938, Jews living in Austria had to register with the IKG's Emigration Department to leave the country and escape Nazi persecution.
Uzbekistan, Tashkent, Jewish Refugees, 1941-1942 from JewishGen

Lodz Ghetto List from JewishGen
This collection contains lists of the Lodz Ghetto inhabitants from 1940 to 1944. The Polish city of Lodz was inhabited by 665,000 people during that time, a third of which were Jewish. Records include the names of residents, Ghetto apartment address, and may include the former addresses of the inhabitants, dates of birth, occupation, and date of deportation or death of the individual.
