That wavy blond hair and heaven-blue eyes belong to none other than "Johnnie" Russ, another Sacred Heart boy. He is quiet, reserved and witty and industrious, always lending a helpful hand when asked. He wants to join the Navy and see the world, but he won't have a girl in every port, or will he? lie is a swift basketball player and triple threat man on the football field. "Ree," a native of Wisconsin, has made friends for herself because of her shy, quiet charm and her willingness to laugh at a pun—good, bad or indifferent. Such a pleasing combination is not too common, and it has made Rita a good companion for all times. Intimate friends have found in Rita a source of good cheer, unselfishness, and a wholehearted appreciation for favors received. With such "Ree" will fill her own special place life. "Twitter" is a winsome, wee lassie, not only quite accomplished in assuming the Scotch dialect, hut an adept in French conversation as well. She will. take almost any dare, even to sliding down bannisters. Quick in speech and action she has never been afraid to express her views with determination. Myers has been exceedingly active scholastically and not with-cut just success. Two decided assets, a lovely voice and scintillating wit will be, so we think, an open sesame to roads of friendship and gaiety. 26 |
